FS CHARLIE Blouse Made with FS BLEACHED Lightweight Softened Linen. I went with the FS Softened lightweight linen in the bleached colourway to further play into the white-tee-alternative look. The fabric was just a dream to work with and I think it's the perfect match for this pattern, I can already tell how nice and cool it will feel in the dead of summer.

The linen is soft and lightweight, perfect for an XVI c. inspired men's shirt. Tiny bit see-through, so something to keep in mind. The pattern was self-drafted from rectangles, so not very complicated, still the linen turned out to be very forgiving. It's a great fabric to start with if you're a beginner.

I've been buying the lL019 linen for a few years now and have never been disappointed. I usually make wraps/shawls and jackets on which I hand paint and then hand dye. One of most popular designs is the jacket which requires only two short seams. Quick sewing which leaves a lot of time for designing!

I would say the Bleached White is a true white, but not a bright or blue toned optic white. It's truly beautiful. The 3.7 oz weight is perfect for apparel— it has structure and a beautiful drape, but doesn't feel bulky. I use this lighter weight for projects with finer details or lots of pleating or gathering. Grandma making beach dresses for my grands. They love linen. This was a free pattern from Violette Field Threads that I used to make these beach dresses. I used IL019 All purposed bleaches FS signature finish fabric. The fabric is so easy to sew.

I fell in love with a style of cotton-lined pinch pleat linen curtains from a popular home decor company that I won't mention by name but rhymes with Shmottery Barn. Unfortunately they were 300 dollars per panel and I needed NINE. Not in the budget. So I turned to this lovely linen to make exact replicas and am very happy with the result. As I mentioned in my review, the Dove color is pale ice blue, not gray as I was expecting (yes I ordered a swatch first, but it was tiny). It's actually a stunning color if you're not expecting gray.

I made the Capucine robe. For the fabric I chose perhaps my favourite colour ever, the IL019 All-purpose Olive Branch Fs Signature Finish linen. Words truly cannot express how soft and luxurious this fabric feels, I honestly have a hard time taking this robe off after a shower! As usual, it was a pleasure to sew with, and it is an even greater pleasure to wear.
