Ana — Crisp Linen Shirt Sewing Pattern (Free PDF)

EXCLUSIVE - Only At Fabrics-Store

Description:

We love the way this minimalist shirt combines a feminine silhouette with design details like a mandarin collar and vintage ivory buttons. The cargo patch pockets on the front crate a catchy counterbalance with a hint of military influence.

Darts or no darts?

Hello, First of all, thank you for your patterns, I love them! I saw the pdf pattern of the crisp linen shirt included a darted front and a plain Front without any dart. I chose to make the darts but the cargo pockets sewn at 9cm from the bottom edge come across the darts, is that normal or did I miscalculated anything? Thank you!

Hello, Yes it is normal for the pockets to come across the darts on the darted version.

Adding collar

Hello. I would like to use the body of Ana shirt, but add standard collar from Noa Shirt. As I am a beginner could you please let me know if the collar from Noa fits the Ana pattern? Thank you very much.

Hello, we'd recommend drafting a collar for your shirt using our tutorial below :) blog.fabrics-store.com/2017/09/05/sewing-glossary-how-to-draft-and-sew-a-shirt-collar-tutorial/

Great base for variations

I used this pattern, but made changes. Shortened the body and the sleeves, omitted the pockets, added a collar and side slits. The beauty of this pattern is that it is more closely fitted than most on this website. So if you are looking for a more fitted shirt, use this as a base and make changes to suit.

Good afternoon - the sizes are US and the PDF file includes a size chart so you can check your measurements to see what size you should make. Hope this helps and please email us if you have any questions.

So easy to sew and I love it. maybe others in sight..

Yes, this is really Ana. I omitted the pockets, shortened the sleeves, and added a collar. I'm small and thought that Noa would be too oversized, so used the Ana body instead. This is IL019 Sapphire, made with .9 yds. of fabric.
