I posted a pic, I love this pattern very much. Be carefull with the sleeves though: it might be a bit narrow. I'd definitely recommend this pattern. Thank you for sharing it for free!
It was called Hana when I made it. I adore this pattern. I added a button.
I added a belt to cinch in the waist and I love it!
Parka length Hana jacket in 4C22 Blue Bayou with an interlining of IL019 Bleached. I've done lining years ago but handling interlining it quite different. The combination is just right for transitional weather. I love the 4C22 weight.
This pattern is an simple and easy design to put together. I used 4C22 Black softened linen. The heavier weight really works well with this pattern. Color blocking would also be great as well as using the yarn dyes with a solid collar. Gotta make more.
I used left over scraps of fabric and linen to make a patch work version. Shortened the pattern, No pockets, and lined the jacket by using the same pattern for the lining fabric. I wish I could post multiple pictures so I could show the detail in the back.
Made a bolero version of this jacket by shortening the sleeves and length of the pattern, lined it, and changed some details to accommodate not having enough fabric. - it pops over the Mona Trapeze Dress I made using the same blue fabric.
Thank you for this free pattern! Good for begginers and doesn't take too long to sew! I sewed the Nino jacket it in S.0-2 in a 100% cotton fabric, and lengthened it to make an elegant indoor outfit. The only remark, which may be useful for other sewers, : the sleeves may be a bit narrow. I made the collar and pockets in a contrasting cotton jacquard, and added a sleeve cuff in the same fabric. I'm still thinking about adding a belt or a button on the side!
I wanted something warmer and heavier, so I made a reversible Nino jacket from il19 crimson signature finish and 4c22 Rim premier finish, trimmed with il90 black. I added interfacing to the black trim and added a couple of Chinese knot closures.
i used IL019 black but i would use the 4C22 if i do this again. i really liked it but after a while, i decided it was too plain. but instead of ripping off the original collar, decided to just cover it with this japanese print (i had these lovely fat quarters lying around - i use them for making bias tape) - it stiffened up the collar considerably.
