Description:

As this pattern is more fitted, it lends itself a more tailored aesthetic; think a crisp dress shirt, but for your face! It uses no elastic making it is safe to throw in the wash at high heat. Because of the nature of linen, the mask is quite breathable and the fabric softens with each wash, becoming even more comfortable over time.

Donna profile image Linen is great for masks.

I made a lot of masks with linen. Just added a thin non woven poly liner to the middle. I have made removable liners/masks and a few sewn in. The removable liners are more breathable because they do not encompass the whole linen mask, yet covers nose and mouth area in between the linen. Its a pain to pull out of the washer and place the liner back in to hang and dry, but worth it to breathe easier.

Used your Soft Linen for my own HEPA Filter face mask as lining

You might like to know that my primary use for the bleached linen is to line our HEPA filter masks. The HEPA filter material is scratchy and irritated my husband's skin. So, I line them now with your bleached linen. It is so soft that there are no more complaints and the masks remain at the highest filtration rate possible of 99.9%. Perfect

I refuse to wear a mask because there are so many studies, including the CDC's that say they are worthless if not harmful but when I/we are forced, linen is perfect for the least harm because it is so breathable.

Mask efficiency

Most masks are made of cotton and they don't really protect us from viruses except they catch the droplets. The softened linen with a liner will be just what I'm looking for! Nice design. If I need to be truly 99% air-tight, I'll buy a rebreather mask.

Jen profile image Inappropriate

"Breathable" is not a good quality for a mask. It will make it less effective at halting the spread of the virus. For best results, a tightly woven fabric should be used, with several layers. And take that word off the description. It gives people the wrong idea. Yes, you're trying to sell linen, but this is reprehensible.
