Customer Questions and Answers
Hi, I'm a little nervous to make the button closure on the back...do you know if it will fit over the head if I skip the closure and do a regular neckline? Thanks!
If the pattern has been designed for a closure, then the neckline will be too small to fit over most heads.
Made this dress for a friend. Lots of sewing experience (mostly quilting) but not a lot of garment sewing. I was really nervous to start because the finishes on the example garment looked very nice. and POCKETS. but the whole thing was relatively painless and the end product was beautiful. MY friend wore the dress to work today and it was so nice to see her enjoy it. Sizing was a bit large BUT that may be due to me not being experienced or being anxious it would not fit. it's also meant to be a bit oversized, i believe. we did take up the bodice a few inches.
Made a size 12/14 using old bedsheets and it fits well on me. I love the minimal design. Thank you for sharing the free pattern and instructions
This is gorgeous! The beautiful fabric suits this pattern so well and looks wonderful on you. I am always on the look out for sheets that I can use too. Well done.
