Not for beginners and not for slim women

This pattern is poorly conceived and poorly explained. Attaching the bias binding to the sleeves in the manner suggested is a recipe for failure, particularly for anyone new to sewing. The sizing is way off unless I somehow missed that the pattern was for plus size only. I made a size 4/6 and although that is my normal size, the shirt is way too loose. It certainly does not fit like the pictures. If you are not plus size, beware unless you like your clothing to fit like a tent.

It's a hit!

I was taking my mother to her first Renaissance Festival and the rest of the group were going to be dressing up. She liked the looks of this blouse and was happy wearing a green skirt and this blouse in IL020 Krista Natural . I did alter it to make the sleeves wrist length, at her request. Now she wants another blouse - which I'm sewing in Blue Curacao from my stash.

Renee • July 6, 2018

The sewing pattern has problems in the explanations but I managed to do it. In fact, the sleeve bracelet only has one measurement for all sizes! I had to enlarge it by 6 inches! I added an elastic in the bottom hem otherwise it looked like a potato sack. I used a stretch cotton and a prefabriqued bias

The Clara peasant blouse, made bigger cause I love it , very easy to sew( I split and ampliated the different pieces of the pattern )

daniela • October 26, 2023

Pattern-Clara peasant blouse. Lovely pattern. Definitely will make more. I feel very comfortable in it. Ty for including plus-size girlies. I made the neckline a little lower and no elastic on the sleeves, and they little shorter. I used a thrift store sheet.

Olga • June 28, 2023

First attempt with this pattern. Not a difficult sew. Two suggestions - the bias binding at the neck and sleeves need to be longer than the instructions indicate. Used an inexpensive Joann cotton fabric.

Lyn • April 5, 2023

I added a button placket version. Very easy and quick project. Turned out so beautifully.
