4C22 GRAPHITE Softened - 100% Linen - Heavy (7.1 oz/yd2)
Master of understated elegance, Japanese printmaker Ando Hiroshige's dreamy, wistful landscapes are filled with the sleek and refined grey of GRAPHITE Linen.
In his quietly pensive scenes rich, warm grey tones become the solid mass of enduring trees, craggy rocks and distant mountains, iconic emblems that are built to last.
At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.

The graphite linen is absolutely beautiful! Such nice quality!
This was my first time working with linen and I love it. Can't wait to do more. I made 15 Cross Back Aprons for a niece that needed them for her business. I first ordered a lighter linen which did not work so then I ordered the heavier linen. I prewashed and allowed for 3 inches of shrinking per yard. It washed wonderfully and came out so soft yet still sturdy enough to make an apron that should last for years. It has just enough weight to hold a pocket that doesn't sag. I'm looking forward to using more linen.
This is only my third project made from linen and it is the easiest fabric to work with. The weight of the heavy weight graphite was perfect for my daughters needs. I can't wait to make something else from linen.
I've been working with linen from fabrics-store.com for a few years now and I'm never disappointed. This Grey is perfect for shadow cloaks, that my LARP friends want. This particular cloak was a wedding cloak. The folkwear pattern was a bear, but the fabric was as forgiving as a lamb. The hand work was much easier than I had expected. This is a beautiful color, paired with the Dove Gray it was a beautiful accent to her wedding.
I used Graphite, Ginger, Natural and Monument for this double layer blanket. (Solid monument for backing). Serves as top sheet, blanket and bedspread. Lovely weight to it. I have yet to see a college kid use a top sheet! Also made him a set of "Dorm Towels" as they don't have to be washed as often and dry quickly.

My graphite linen just arrived, it is exactly the color I was expecting, a nice deep modern charcoal. I will be making a linen throw with mini pompom trim. Can't wait to start working with this beautiful fabric!
This is my absolute favorite fabric. It washes well, is durable, and still so soft.
This beautiful gray garment weight linen is very forgiving. It was used to make my first pair of 18th century men's breeches. There were many alterations and, other than edge fraying, it held up beautifully with no problems ripping and re-sewing. After washing 3 times, it had a soft hand and is pleasant against the skin. Beware: you must wash this fabric and dry it hot at least three times before using it. A lot of lint will come off and it will shrink a little, too.
A fabulous dark grey color and linen is wonderful! I washed and dried it a few times to remove the excess lint. I am making a tablecloth and some drawstring pants out of this linen.
I made a pair of overalls out of this fabric. I was a little afraid when it first came because the material was quite stiff and almost canvas-like. I went ahead and washed it, hoping that would solve the problem and it did! It's sturdy but soft, just the right weight for pants. The linen gets lovelier with each wash and these overalls are so comfortable!!!
