VINEYARD GREEN linen
is the color of energy and growth, suggesting fleshy leaves and dense
meadows of wild grass cast into an oasis of cool shade. French
Impressionist painter Claude Monet saw the rich, vital potential of this color, returning to it again and again throughout his career to convey
the depth and variety of the French landscape.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 59 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Customer Questions and Answers
Can I order a sample of the fabric? I want to make sure I have the right color
We will send an email to you on how to get this sample.
Is vineyard similar to the heavy weight Juniper in color? Seems vineyard has a yellow tone.
Hello Juniper is a much more middle green tone, whereas vineyard green is a darker hue. They are visually quite different in color. Vineyard green does come on the 4C22 and IL019 bases though.
Will you be getting more of this color in stock.
I am showing that as of 4/11 we have inventory on this item.
I used this fabric for curtains. It lets some light through, but mine aren't meant to be drawn to block light but just to add color and texture, maybe drawn at night sometimes. I love the slightly golden green in the sun light. They were easy to sew, very little shrinking, much less than the 10%, I think. Very happy with my purchase.
I ordered the Vineyard green 5.3 oz. linen for a pair of capri pants. I washed and dried the fabric (warm wash, low heat in dryer) before cutting and was surprised at how little shrinkage there was. The fabric lost 2" in width (was 59-1/2" wide before laundering, 57-1/2" after). The length shortened only 1" per yard. The color is a yellowish green, sort of a bright olive, and goes with a lot of different colors. I'm very pleased with my capris and know they will be useful this summer.
This is my favorite green in linen. I made the Phoebe pattern and it turned out so well, I've made 5 more in various colors. This pattern is great in just about any color. My favorite is still the vineyard green.
Linen colors I received not true to online pictures. Both the deep ultramarine and the vineyard green were off. The ultramarine is a dusty blue and not as vibrant. I rate both as a 3.
I absolutely adore this fabric!! Such a pretty green and just the right weight for the dress I wanted to make with it.
I bought this fabric for curtains and had just about a yard left. I'm a beginner sewing and found this easy pattern - "Hansie" top by Seamwork with a sew along on their website. The fabric was so easy to work with and I'm trilled with the result. I will wear this top a lot. Great color - vineyard green IL-019 linen.
The medium weight vineyard green linen fabric is just awesome. I used it to create a Viking apron dress for the SCA. I like that it is soft and while the green is vibrant, it is also natural. I plan to order another five yards of this linen to make a skirt out of for everyday wear.
I used this fabric for curtains and I'm very happy with it. It lets some light through but mine aren't meant to be drawn to block light, but just to add color and texture and maybe be closed at night. The golden green looks great in the sun light and in tungsten light. Very easy to sew even thought the curtains are so long.
IL019 Vineyard Green & Weeping Willow. Simplicity vintage pattern 8173 This is my 1st "color block" shirt. I will make the collar smaller and maybe a tad shorter on the length. I fixed that little puffy corner in the collar point but hey........there is a learning curve. LOVE the fabric!
