GINGER Linen's rich caramel shade filled Kurt Schwitters's art. Made
from the ephemera of his daily life in 1920s Germany, almost anything
could be thrown into the mix in torn scraps of color and texture.
Through his endlessly complex designs, pushing back and forth in a bid
for our attention, the prismatic arrangements of natural, near flesh
tones seemed somehow inherently linked to the human experience. Uniting
them was the golden-brown of Ginger which created an overriding mood of
warmth and familiarity.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Can I buy 1.5 yards of any fabrics? I do not need 2 yards
Hi! We only cut in full fractions of a yard so it'll need to be either 1 or 2 full yards. You can take a look at the Doggie Bags section to see if you can find a pre-cut increment there.

I absolutely love this golden brown linen...so soft and drapey...it's perfect for autumn. Kudos also to the staff who facilitated a change in destination address en route...so appreciated!
I was disappointed that the color of this very nice weight linen was more boring brown than ginger. Not at all the harvest vibe I was expecting. Sadly returning.

I love all these linens, I have purchased several. This is the first one that I am disappointed in. The fabric itself is great but the color isn't even remotely close to "ginger" and isn't anywhere close to the thumbnail when I ordered it. I had read another review about the color but ignored it, I shouldn't have. This should be called camel, tan, light brown, taupe, sand...anything BUT ginger and the photo thumbnail should be corrected. I would normally give this a 5 but the color is why I bought it. I will use it for something, just not as planned.
I purchased this color based on the swatch and the color description ("rich caramel"). The swatch displays a reddish golden caramel hue. The color I received is much more muted than the swatch and flat. It is brown, not ginger. Still a lovely color and fabric as usual, but the color does not suit me. Sadly I had to return.

Color is off
My reversible AKIRA cardigan is even more versatile now, with a bold side full of warm colors and another one a little bit wiser but with a colorful neckline. I did not modify the sleeve hem lengths so the sleeves were a little bit too long for my taste but then I rolled the sleeves and felt in love with the colors popping from the underside of the cardi! I'm so happy with the result and was so delighted to take the set with me on holiday. I'm now enjoying wearing these garments as loungewear while waiting for the weather to warm up in Paris.
It's a little thicker than the signature finish but still amazing quality. I've purchase these over and over in different shades, highly recommend.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
