Customer Questions and Answers
Any idea how much yardage I might need for 45" wide fabric?
Our designers have only provided yardage for 55" wide fabrics. To figure out yardage for another width, an easy trick is to do a mock layout of your pattern pieces to your desired width, and measure the length they take up.
hello I'm trying to download a free pattern (Antonia caftan). The only file I manage to get contains 6 pages but not the pattern. Please explain to me how I should do it. Thanks in advance
When you open the File in Adobe Acrobat reader, you will be able to view the pattern pieces as 'attachments'. Be sure to have your attachments menu open to see them. If you would like some assistance with this please see our Help Center articles or contact customer service.
Wearing my finished kaftan made me want to dance around, and I'm not a dancer! My husband said it's reminiscent of Greek styles. Feels cool in medium weight linen. I didn't have any trouble with the instructions.
Easy to sew and such a lovely dress for summer, loved every second of this sewing project
I made some changes to this pattern, making the slits run much higher so I could wear pants underneath with access to my pockets, and embroidered the neckline. I'm very happy with this pattern. I wish that the instructions were easier to find. Go to the bottom of the site, go to "the thread", then scroll down to the search bar (which is weirdly not at the top or bottom, but in the middle) and search "Antonia".
I'm so very happy with this dress. The pattern is perfect, it fits very well and it took me 4 hours to make it. Thank you for offering so beautiful patterns for free! I will definitely use more of your patterns.
Yet another free and easy to sew pattern from the linen store. I had no problems finding the instructions and the patterns. I am not sure what are the complaints here. The pattern is included as an attachment to the pdf. Click the attachment. Go to the blog that is listed in the pattern for instructions. Very easy to assemble and cut. I made this dress in about 2 hours.
