If you'd like to change the amount of pattern pieces you are using and to figure out the new yardage layout your pattern pieces in a mock pattern layout on a flat surface at your fabrics width. Then you can simply measure the length your pattern pieces take up to find the yardage.
Hi I'd like to know if this pattern is available up to the 28/30 size as stated in the description, as when I downloaded it only goes up to size 22. Thank you. I would so like to see this, but I'm larger than the 22. Thank you

Hello, Most of our pattern go up to a size 28/30 but the Nola pattern is one of our older patterns that only goes up to a size 22. Our apologies here, you may like to see our tutorial on the blog for grading up a size.

I like this top a lot in theory, but I'm a little stymied as to where the seam is supposed to fall. On my muslin, as drafted, fits sort of high on my breast. Which with the gather, make my bust seem even larger and yet still shapeless. Where does that seam really want to lay? Below bustline? Right under armpits?

Hello, you're correct, on the pattern the gathers will sit approximately 1 inch below the armpit, which will be around or just above your bust apex. You can adjust the length of the bodice to have this sit higher or lower to best suit your body shape.
I made a muslin of it first, and I can't figure out how it's supposed to fit. I chose the size based on my measurements, the "waistline" just goes right across my bust, unless I put it where the pattern photo shows, in which case the neckline chokes me. It's too snug to pull down to an empire waist. The length is almost cropped, and I don't think I'd call it "boxy" so much as "balloony". The armpit/shoulder area is snug. I love the dropped shoulder seam. I might try it again in a bigger size, lengthen it, maybe scoop the neckline down a bit. I can see how it would be more flattering in a drapy fabric. The review photos here make it look much better than mine came out. Otherwise, it is an excellent pattern for learning/practicing basic necessary sewing skills, which I appreciated!
The shirt is very cute however I'm not a big person (5'1 and 97 lbs) but the sleeves were somewhat tight and since I made it out of linen there was no give.. everything else is cute and comfy but perhaps the pattern can be adjusted for a wider sleeve from shoulder to wrist.
This is a very nice pattern that is easy to print, tape, cut and sew. However, the garment ended up being a little small. Ideally I would have made the next size up, but I'm a beginner and I honestly, I don't know how to grade a pattern up one size yet (I made the largest size). The upper arms were very tight. I made an adjustment by adding an underarm gusset that extended to the upper bust. I'm sure making that adjustment caused some neck issues since I'm constantly fiddling with the neck when I wear it. I did make this out of a holiday quilting cotton and I understand it will be different that the recommended fabric. The tutorial with the pattern was easy to follow and I LOVED all of the links to more detailed tutorials. With this pattern, I made bias tape for the first time and this was the first neck line I sewed. They both came out great thanks to the detailed instructions. Overall, The largest size was just a bit too small for me. I'd love to make this pattern in a larger size once I learn more about pattern grading. If you measure directly into one of the sizes, this is a quick sew and a very fun top!

This top is very easy to sew, but the fit is terrible for my body type. I have a fuller bust and this top does not allow for that. It cuts me off right at the bust. Also, the armpits are quite tight. The kind of 'drop shoulder' does not work for me.

So far, I have made the pattern up as offered. Sleeves and shoulders were a bit snug for me so another linen fan took the blouse and modeled around Memphis with it. I made a second with some modifications to the pattern and it fit perfectly. Having modeled it over another dress, I decided to put a gathered deep ruffle around the bottom and turned it into a dress. Next, I made a third in some leftover signature linen that finally gave me the blouse I originally started to make. This pattern is definitely one to use in many variations.
I love this in theory. It worked out to be a little snug in the shoulders though the sizing suggested it would be loose. The directions were great. Thanks so much for the free patterns!
Overall the pattern was a bit small for me, but I added an underarm gusset to try to make it fit (due to the pattern, you can barely tell it's there, outside of the weirdness it added to the fit, haha). I made this out of a holiday quilting cotton which is different from the recommended fabric, but still worked alright. I kind of like the stiffer, more structured look. And I didn't have enough fabric for full length sleeves, so I did a 3/4-ish sleeve.
This is made with medium weight print linen fabric; made it 6" longer than pattern measurements for a tunic length and put side seam pockets in as well.
