This is a very nice pattern that is easy to print, tape, cut and sew. However, the garment ended up being a little small. Ideally I would have made the next size up, but I'm a beginner and I honestly, I don't know how to grade a pattern up one size yet (I made the largest size). The upper arms were very tight. I made an adjustment by adding an underarm gusset that extended to the upper bust. I'm sure making that adjustment caused some neck issues since I'm constantly fiddling with the neck when I wear it. I did make this out of a holiday quilting cotton and I understand it will be different that the recommended fabric. The tutorial with the pattern was easy to follow and I LOVED all of the links to more detailed tutorials. With this pattern, I made bias tape for the first time and this was the first neck line I sewed. They both came out great thanks to the detailed instructions. Overall, The largest size was just a bit too small for me. I'd love to make this pattern in a larger size once I learn more about pattern grading. If you measure directly into one of the sizes, this is a quick sew and a very fun top!
Hello, Thanks so much for your review, we appreciate the feedback and are so happy our tutorials and links were helpful. We do have a tutorial for grading patterns which you can find at the following link: blog.fabrics-store.com/2015/06/01/how-to-grade-a-pattern-tutorial/ Additionally, please feel free to reach out to us if you have any pattern fit issues, our in-house seamstress would be happy to guide you to the best resources for making appropriate pattern adjustments.
This top is very easy to sew, but the fit is terrible for my body type. I have a fuller bust and this top does not allow for that. It cuts me off right at the bust. Also, the armpits are quite tight. The kind of 'drop shoulder' does not work for me.
I'm sorry this one wasn't a great fit. if you'd like, feel free to email us for some advice on making pattern adjustments to ensure your next make fits like a glove :)
So far, I have made the pattern up as offered. Sleeves and shoulders were a bit snug for me so another linen fan took the blouse and modeled around Memphis with it. I made a second with some modifications to the pattern and it fit perfectly. Having modeled it over another dress, I decided to put a gathered deep ruffle around the bottom and turned it into a dress. Next, I made a third in some leftover signature linen that finally gave me the blouse I originally started to make. This pattern is definitely one to use in many variations.
I found this blouse (after downloading the adobe program) and following the step-by-step instruction (per the tutorial) to be my absolute favorite style top of anything that I have made, so far. It is a perfect top for jeans, leggings or the Moroccan pant (have made these too). I have made mostly short versions of this, but have recently made a longer (tunic length) which is nice too, esp. with the leggings.
I just downloaded and printed this pattern. It's beautiful and the instructions are clear. I LOVE the way you can exclude sizes you don't need. Such a clever way to package patterns. Can't wait to sew this up tomorrow!
The pattern file needs to be opened in Adobe Acrobat Reader to show the instructions. For Apple computers right click on file, choose "open with" find Adobe Acrobat Reader and click.
Lovely looking patter that I would like to make… but there are no instructions. Your Anon. commenter is right - there are no layout or sewing instructions. Perhaps that's why there are no comments or photos of finished garments for this item. Also, can you add a photo page to the pdf download so we have an idea of what the finished product looks like. - Many thanks for the time you put into your excellent patterns.

Overall the pattern was a bit small for me, but I added an underarm gusset to try to make it fit (due to the pattern, you can barely tell it's there, outside of the weirdness it added to the fit, haha). I made this out of a holiday quilting cotton which is different from the recommended fabric, but still worked alright. I kind of like the stiffer, more structured look. And I didn't have enough fabric for full length sleeves, so I did a 3/4-ish sleeve.
