Luna — Camisole Sundress

When you think of quintessentially summer dresses, a camisole sundress instantly springs to mind. With its iconic spaghetti straps and bare shoulders look, it is a kind of dress you’d want to wear on those hot summer days when you feel like wearing as little as possible.

Our Luna pattern is a classic camisole sundress thin spaghetti straps, semi-fitted lined bodice, side zipper and a gathered skirt. It also features two handy patch pockets that give it a relaxed feel. Cut from our Signature hot washed bleached medium linen, it is super soft and comfy and has a magic power of reflecting light and keeping you cool.

Marie profile image Great but a little big!

This is a lovely pattern! Easy to make and the dress is beautiful. Perfect linen sundress. I made the smallest size however and it is a bit big. Definitely not the fit the model is showing. But I sort of like it as it is, baggier. Might adjust it and might a tighter version later. Might not!

I love this dress!!! And I get so many compliments! Based on my body measurements, I should be a 0/2 because of my bust and a 4/6 because of my waist. At the end of the day, I altered the pattern to be even smaller than the 0/2. And there is still some space to make it smaller for my next go around.

Heather profile image Sizing is a bit off, but nice pattern
Reviewer: Heather

I cut the pattern to my size, but I had to do some significant alterations to the bodice to achieve the softly fitted look of the feature image. Could have probably cut two sizes smaller than I did, but the shape is pretty and it's a very easy summer dress in the end.

Can't wait to sew this! I don't love the pdf being as an attachment on this site, makes it so I can only get it to print on one device. But pattern is all taped up now and we're excited over here to start the project!

I loved the length of the dress and the gathered waist! With a 1" hem, the hem came to my upper calf, and I am 5'7". I was a little bit confused about the pattern pieces for the skirt; the front is a few inches wider than the back, but it looks normal when I am wearing it. The sizing is weird. I am usually a size 4 with a 33" bust and 26" waist, but this pattern put me as smaller than the pattern's size 0/2. The bodice for this dress was the perfect length (to my navel) on my height, yet the straps were quite short. They might have been better on someone 5'5" and under. Last, the instructions for which bodice side to sew and which side to leave open were a bit confusing, as was the instructions to connect the bodice to the skirt. These are small issues, though, and if you like the way the dress looks, I think you should try it :)

Great pattern, came out beautiful. The smallest size was too big for me but I almost prefer a baggier version. Will probably make another soon!
