Making a cal king duvet, yardage required says they have allowed for shrinkage. Do I cut the lengths required and then wash it for shrinkage or do I have to wash it before cutting?

Hi! You would need to wash the fabric before cutting out your pieces.

Sizing adjustments needed wth memory foam mattress

I have an 8" thick Queen size memory foam mattress. I found that the full size cutting layout for the fitted sheet fits it perfectly. My son has a 10" thick full size mattress, and for his bed I needed to cut the width 2" narrower, and I took 9" !!! off the length. I only needed two pieces for the flat sheet instead of three, as it was much longer than it needed to be. I made one duvet cover that was too small for my queen duvet, too large for a twin, will make a lovely quilt for the living room this winter. :) I'm about to start two new duvet covers (one fog grey, one wisteria) and will measure the actual duvets and make them to size. The instructions and fabric layouts are fantastic and I don't think I would have attempted this project without them. Love this company so much!

Great pattern with nice embroidery detail.

I made queen size in 1c64 unbleached linen. The pattern looks great and I hand embroidered the embroidery. 12 yards of fabric shed a lot of lint, so much so that my whole room had a layer of lint while I was sewing it. After second wash there was less and I am hoping it will reduce even more with successive washes.

Simply Smashing!

My duvet cover came out great! I love it, the weight of linen is perfect and it fits my bed and down comforter absolutely perfectly. I used Asphalt and Nine Iron and I am so happy with that look! Thank you for answering my question about the corner tabs.

What are the corner tabs for?

I'm working on this duvet cover right now. I'm almost done, but I really don't understand what the 4 corner tabs that go inside the cover are for. Are they simply to reinforce the corners?

Hello, some people like to use the corner inserts in duvets to keep the comforter in place. They're secured with large safety pins through these tabs, instead of the cover.

I matched bee colors to the bed.
