I see that the description of the Christmas print towels says "PLAIN WEAVE"...but I still wanted to verify. This is not like a terry cloth towel...correct? I was thinking of making a Christmas cafe curtain for my kitchen from them.

These ‘tea towels are so much fun to see. Not complicated at all. Beautiful prints. I gave a few to my girls and they refuse to use them as towels, instead, they use them to decorate their dining table or just hang them on the stove handle. I'm giving them Christmas ones too! I'm looking forward to the Spring collection.
These cute towels will be a good gift for a dog-loving family. I've also sewn the lemon towels and orange towels as gifts. I used Janelle's directions facebook.com/groups/525182708452779/search/?q=miter for the miters. The plaid border determined my folds which I sewed with a size 90 topstitching needle.
I have bought and sewn many of these tea towels and the designs and quality of the cotton is outstanding. The first batch, I machine washed and dried them before sewing; a big mistake; as much as 1/2" or more unravelled. Then I cut and sewed before washing, which worked well. I mitered the corners. Some of them are a little off the true square. This "Santa Paws" worked up to be skewed almost an inch. But they are worth it. Whoever paints these amazing designs is inspired and talented; I wonder whether they might consider including Asian and Black faces in the compositions which include people. And maybe having more Hanukkah designs, and Kwanzaa. Thank you Fabrics-Store!

Thank you so much for your feedback, I will pass this onto our designers :) I'm sorry your fabric frayed when washing first, if you prefer to wash first, next time you could run a line of stitching, or serge the raw ends to prevent ravelling. Otherwise, you can sew then wash :)
I always look forward to receiving a package from Fabrics-Store, and this package did not disappoint! The "Santa Paws" towels are so cute. I have several friends who are dog afficianados who will be thrilled with the cute puppies in Santa hats when they open their Christmas gifts. The are brightly colored, and unlike other printed towels the colors are sharp and do not blur together. I actually ordered more than I had intended, and before I got the package, my first thought was to take advantage of F-S convenient return policy. But, when I opened the package and the towels were so perfect, I immediately thought of recipients for the gifts. I may end up ordering more!
