Customer Questions and Answers
The site says this pattern comes in 0/2, but the actual pattern starts at 4. Where is the size chart? I don't see it on either the instructions or the pattern, which only shows the finished size. Thanks so much.
This is one of our earlier patterns which was released without a size chart and in limited sizes. If you would prefer a pattern in a smaller size, you might like to consider the Cass Culottes.
Will you be getting this fabric back in stock.? I love the color. I couldn't find it on the site to make these pants..
Apologies, We will not be restocking this fabric.
Does anybody have front view of these pants? The back view doesn't really help me see the style. Thanks!

Is this American sizing? As I'm in the uk and a size 16 so the size I should aim for is the 12/14?
Yes, this is US sizing. Please consult the size chart's measurements to find you best size as sizing isn't standardised across pattern and clothing brands co could vary.
What is the recommended ease on these pants, please? For instance, if I have a 38" hip circumference, would the size 4/6 have enough ease at 42"? Thank you!
This pattern is designed so that you select your size based on your desired finished garment size. So you can select your desired ease :)
Thanks, got it!
Where can i find the instructions?
Hello, you can find the instructions on our blog. Simply go to blog.fabrics-store.com and use the search box to search "Alexandra"
What is the finished length? Thank you.
Hello, The length varies depending on the size selected. You can measure the length and adjust as needed by downloading the free pattern and assembling it.
Will you compare and contrast the Alexandra and Magda pants patterns for me please? I can't decide which to get.
The Alexandra have a straight cut with minimal tapering at the ankle and no side pockets. Magda has a slightly dropped crotch, tapered legs and a more exaggerated tapered leg shape due to the extra room at the waist. Magda comes with in-seam pockets. Both patterns are free downloads, so feel free to download and compare :)
I can't figure out this pattern

I've tried to download this pattern but there doesn't seem to be pattern instructions, there has been with other patterns. On the pdf everything is ticked so they should be there? Thanks Karen
Hello, Our pattern instructions are located on our blog, The Thread. Simply go to blog.fabrics-store.com and search for your pattern name in the search bar.
how many metres of 150cm fabric is needed please
There is a yardage chart included in the free download for this pattern, we estimate yardage based on our 55" wide linen which is close to 150cm
Loved this easy to follow pattern. I first made it in plain cotton just to test it as I am new to garment sewing. They fit perfectly!!!! I will now make them in a gorgeous linen.
I made these in IL0 19 Black. I loved how easy these were to make, and they looked great on while I was standing. When I sat down though......!!! I plan to make these again but alter them to fit since I need more "bottom" coverage when sitting. I've found a great tutorial to do this.
I used the il037 natural on this pattern, to make a roomy versatile pant, for gardening, sheep trending, child chasing, and an alternative to leggings under skirts and tunics. I made the 8/10 size with French seams which ended up a bit bulkier than I would like. I'll learn proper felling on my next pant project! Very pleased for my first pants.
i made the 4/6 size and although it has a great shape it was too big. do you have a smaller size? is there a 0/2?
Thanks for your review. We have a tutorial for grading patterns on our blog which should help you make your pattern your ideal size. Rather than grading up, use the tutorial as a guide for grading your pattern down a size. blog.fabrics-store.com/2015/06/01/how-to-grade-a-pattern-tutorial/ You may also like our Magda pattern which comes in a 0/2 size. fabrics-store.com/sewing-patterns/magda-crisp-linen-pants-pattern
I have made so many different patterns for elastic pants over the years and this one is now my go to...as another reviewer stated...better than any of the elastic waisted pant patterns out there for sale. Thank you FS!
