Tourmaline’s frosty shade of pale turquoise became winter skies, icy water and crystalline, snow peaked mountain tops in the hands of Russian-born painter Nicholas Roerich.

A spiritual nomad and intrepid explorer, Roerich spent much of his adult life exploring some of the farthest unchartered reaches of the world, most notably the treacherous terrain of the Himalayas. The adventures he took part in became the backbone to his art, which illustrated vast, dreamy mountain ranges reaching toward the heavens, acting as a bridge between the physical world and unseen spiritual realms.

At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 59 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Is this weight linen suitable for Marianna jacket without lining?

We recommend our 4C22 heavyweight linen for the Mariana Jacket without a lining. This fabric is comparable to a shirting fabric.

Would this be suitable for fabric matting a picture? Thank you.

Yes, this fabric, or our smoother IL020 lightweight linen are both suitable for this purpose.

Is this colorway very close to IC64 dove? I am looking for something that will work as you are out of IC64 in dove. If you are not replacing dove in IC64, I may need to order this as a sample. Please advise.

We have Dove in our IL019 in both the softened and signature finish. These would be closer to the Dove we had in the 1C64

Love this color. It's kind of cactus, or agave. But whatever it is it's stunning. And its middle weight, what could be better?

This is a beautiful color. I have been replacing my wardrobe as all I can tolerate on my skin is linen. I am so thankful for this store, their linen is high quality, well woven, sturdy. Pricing is the best I've seen and they have variety. I use the different weights per the season & purpose. And weight fluctuation, sigh. You can't go wrong with this store.

Soft blue-green with a touch of grey

This soft color is a lighter shade in the same family as Agave, sphinx and meadow. Such a soft, muted color will flatter most skin tones. It's a slightly grey turquoise -green in a medium to lighter shade. It's darker than Meadow, my favorite spa green. The weight will make a fine blouse to go with my agave slacks.
