A pioneer in early 20th century abstraction, American symbolist painter Agnes Pelton was one of the first to explore art’s transcendental, otherworldly qualities. She found a route into the unseen spiritual world through the light and wonder of nature, painting sparking fireflies, glowing auras or haloes of sunlight that become gateways into another realm beyond our own.
In much of her art Pelton embraced deep, dark shades of purple alike GRAPE WINE, which become shadowy recesses of night, a rich darkness filled with quietly evocative and intoxicating mystery.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 59 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Is there any hope that you have cotton percale fabric in larger widths? I need to sew a queen size sheet set and I need at least a 108 inch width. I have purchase your 59 inch width cotton percale fabric enough to make a pair of pillowcases & it is wonderful. Please advise thank you, Pat Smith

Hello Pat, I'm sorry at this stage we don't have wider width fabrics on this base. We have made linen sheets sets from our 59" wide linen by piecing the fabric together in panels and sewing with flat felled seams which cannot be felt when sleeping. If you search for 'Sheets' int he search bar it will bring up the free sewing pattern for the sheets which include cutting and sewing instructions for all standard sized mattresses.
Karen's Sewingman Drop Sleeve pattern is exactly what I was looking for. Where can I find the pattern?

Can this be added in 1/2 yd increments? I only need 1 1/4, but wanted to make it 1 1/2 yds just to be safe!

I am sorry but we only sell in full yard increments so you would need to order 2 yards - there will be shrinkage in the pre-wash stage which is 7-10% based on our recommended wash instructions. You may want to check our doggie bag section to see if we have a first quality remnant in this color and yardage.
Absolutely beautiful fabric and the color is so rich
This top (SewingMan Drop Shoulder Top) is made from the Grape Wine midweight linen. My picture doesn't show the color accurately; the actual color is a reddish purple, but not as red as my photo. The pants are made from the Peyote linen.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
