At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.

Our FS Signature Finish was developed exclusively for us using a special process that makes this linen super soft with a comfy, classic look you'll love at first sight.

As a bonus, this process removes almost all of the initial shrinkage, giving you more fabric to get your projects done.
This finish makes the linen as soft as butter. Yep, 100% linen that feels and drapes and sews as no linen you have ever encountered. Because the fabric has been pre-shrunk for you - it will be less than the base cloth width.

Jamie I love the Noa dress that you made and want to make it for my daughter. Did you use seam binding on the sleeves or just roll over? I love it. Krista

Love it

The 2nd time I've ordered this IL019 linen and I'll probably be ordering other colors too. I ordered extra so I could make an infinity scarf with frayed edges and it turned out beautifully. It keeps it's fluffiness while you wear it so it stays fluffy around your neck, plus it gives warmth while being lightweight and breathable. Also made a tunic.

I purchased a bolt of this lovely medium-light blue linen last summer, for an 18th century reenactment event that takes place at my dad's childhood home. It was the perfect color and weight for my new shortgown and petticoat, neither a wimpy baby blue nor the royal blues that I tend to gravitate toward. Now I'm using more of it for a Viking serk I'll wear in the SCA, and then I'll use some for a fitted undergown for under a côtehardie, also in the SCA. I hope you still have it when I run out!

Another big fan!

This color is gorgeous BUT also perfectly suited for boys. No matter how I drape it, it takes on the persona of its utility. It reminds me of indigo. Wrap it around you and cinch it with an old leather belt and it looks like faded denim but drape it over white lace and it's a beautiful turquoise-y color. Everybody should snag some for themselves, just to play with. It's just an amazing color.

Gorgeous color and very soft

I used this linen to make a Geranium Dress for a friend's 2 year old daughter. It was a dream to work with and I am in love with the color.

This linen is a very versatile weight like all IL019 linens. The blue is lovely but it is different in person, more aqua. If you need a very specific color, get a sample.

I love this color blue. As I stated in a review for the Asphalt colorway in same linen, it washes well, does not wrinkle like most linen, and is just the perfect weight for any clothing, including pants.

Used some leftover Blue Heaven to test out a shorts pattern. Love them! 5 yards was enough to make these shorts, the button down dress I posted below, and a men's size L button down shirt. I might even have enough to make a crop top to go with the shorts. The wide fabric bolts mean you get a LOT of fabric!

Blue Heaven is a beautiful bright blue, so soft, and so easy to work with. I made the Noa Shirt and extended it into a dress- added darts and made the bottom hem flat. It's the perfect lightweight dress!

This is our wedgewood blue linen book with journaling inside pages. We sell this to wedding and baby shoppers. Excellent fabric. Shows a monogram nicely. Come look at our selection; waycooldesigns.com We are having our biggest sale currently $20.00 off each book we sell. Best wishes, Susie

Posting a photo to help get a sense of the color, taken in daylight. Here with "Raspberry." I think some one mentioned periwinkle, but this is imho, definitely blue. "light denim blue" is not far off, or "rich robin's egg blue" maybe. But no hint of purple, to my eye.

1L019 Blue Heaven softened for my Viking Apron dress and coif. Tutorial by Annie Brahe for the apron dress, self drafted for the coif.

I've gotten so much use out of the dress I made with this beautiful linen, it has seen many battles, and it is coming to pieces now after two years, wearing thin and getting holes quickly. I've been patching it with the scraps I saved, but it might be time to order some more BLUE HEAVEN...

Blue Heaven, 5.3 oz. About a week for delivery. I overcast the cut edges together then wash & dry hot several times to shrink & de-lint. Press it a bit, jine line it up square with itself & keep it lined up together with itself when you see. I pin away from the edge an inch plus. I also overcast edges after cutting & flatfell or similar the seams.
