IL090 Canvas Natural Softened - 100% Linen Fabric - Very Heavy (8 oz/yd2), Width 57"
The Natural color in this fabric is the earth made color of flax when it has been retted and woven into thread. No dyes, no bleach. The only thing that impacts the color of the cloth from one production to the next ( if it is more beige or grey) is the amount of sunshine and rain that particular flax harvest had.
A 57 inch wide heavier linen weighing 8.1 ounces it is referred to as canvas weight , this linen is perfectly suited for projects that require a sturdier yet still fashionable linen.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

I wanted to make the Mara: Painter's Coat with the heavy weight linen. Will there be more colors in the future? I wanted the royal purple or a dark blue of sorts.
Please check back with us at the end of March to see if we have had any updates if/when we will be receiving more colors in this weight.
Is this too heavy to make curtains? I'm wanting to darken the bedroom and didn't want to line them. Hoping this weight would work well enough to darken the room somewhat. Thanks!
This is our one of our heavier weight linens and will work well for this project
This fabric is AMAZING. I made 2 tote bags for my son, as he navigates the grocery shopping sans plastic bags. It's reversible with 4C22 CORAL Softened - 100% Linen - Heavy (7.1 oz/yd2). A little interfacing and he has 2 bags for the shopping trips large and small.
I have washed and dried the piece I got but haven't sewed with it yet. I think it will be absolutely perfect for what I want to make-- a simple pinafore to wear when I'm cooking. This is my new favorite. It's rustic and has texture but it's not an open weave. Lovely natural color. Rustic, but not too rustic, even for certain items of clothing. I can imagine a sheet set made of this or a summer coverlet. I love it.
We used this fabric to upholster a tufted ottoman. Easy to work with and beautiful rustic appearance after a couple of washes. Has a grey tint to it.
Used the 8 oz softened natural (doggie bag purchase) for making slip cover for ottoman. I washed fabric in hot water and dried on high before construction. The fabric is very nice quality and is easy to work with and sew. I have a small upholstered bench that I am going to make a slip cover for using the 10 oz softened natural and see which I like better before tackling a winged back chair. I have been happy with all the linen purchased from Fabric-store.com.
