This is a 19" wide twin to the 4C22 Rustic linen line.

Woven out of the same size thread and with the same thread density this IL084 is just woven to be narrow. That means less cutting time for you and you can get to the fun part of using your linen items sooner.

At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces a square yard this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.

Yarn Dyed fabrics are made using threads that are dyed separately before being woven. This allows for a larger variety of patterns and designs that stand out from the base fabric color. Design created exclusively for F|S.

Narrow width cloth is great for:

  • Shopping bags
  • Purses
  • Placemats
  • Runners
  • Decorative pillows
  • Kitchen towels
  • Appliance covers
  • Potholders
  • Cushions

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

This fabric only comes in this narrow width, but we do have a striped fabric in our french ticking linen which is great for upholstery. You can find it here: fabrics-store.com/all-fabrics?article=IL087

Please send dish towel tutorial. I already have IL084. Not sure how much to allow for shrinkage and whether to hem sides. Thank you!

This fabric is narrow and not suitable for garments. You may like our IL019 or IL020 linen for PJs :)

Toweling Fabric

Quick and easy gifts are dish towels made from the linen striped toweling, and they are very much appreciated. I get great feedback.

Usually really love your fabrics

I have purchased many yards of fabric from you but these I don't care for. The amount of sticks and plant debri is crazy . My finger tips are sore from tring to remove the sticks from the weave. I would ask for a refund but the fabric has been washed. These were going to be made into towels for Christmas gifts but I will make something else.

Barbara profile image Very nice fabric.

I made four dish towels from this linen. It was so nice to work with and retains shape after washing. I love to use it for drying dishes!

I combined striped toweling with medium weight natural to create an artsy jacket.

I took the heavy, striped canvas I bought to make dish towels (per fabrics-store suggestion) and made upholstered cushions for our Casita Freedom Deluxe camper instead. I used 4C22 natural for the sides and backs. This model of camper comes with two swivel chairs but we wanted to make bunk seats that could convert to a bed. My husband made the boxes for the cushions. The heavy linens were easy to sew with and look very nice together. I used thin cording to make the natural linen piping around the cushions. The back sides overlap. The end sides are sewn to the 5" gusset but the other two sides are held together with Velcro so it's easy to insert the 5" foam pieces. The 26" wide bed is very comfortable too.
