IL084 Narrow Width Remy Natural/nine Iron Mlt-21 Softened - 100% Linen Fabric - Heavy (7.1 oz/yd2), Width 19"
This is a 19" wide twin to the 4C22 Rustic linen line.
Woven out of the same size thread and with the same thread density this IL084 is just woven to be narrow. That means less cutting time for you and you can get to the fun part of using your linen items sooner.
At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces a square yard this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.
Yarn Dyed fabrics are made using threads that are dyed separately before being woven. This allows for a larger variety of patterns and designs that stand out from the base fabric color. Design created exclusively for F|S.
Narrow width cloth is great for:
- Shopping bags
- Purses
- Placemats
- Runners
- Decorative pillows
- Kitchen towels
- Appliance covers
- Potholders
- Cushions
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Hello, I purchased the iron this past summer for some cushions but I instead want to make placemats and kitchen towels. Would I have to double the fabric for the placemats?
Our customers who use and have used this linen for placemats have not found it necessary to double the fabric.
Will you have this darker green in heavier fabric back in stock? Ibought some of another green stripe but don't like the color or the weight.
The only other green we have is the natural with the vineyard green that is IL084 REMY NATURAL/VINEYARD GREEN MLT-18 . We do not have plans to bring in a darker green in the near future.
This is one of my favorites for kitchen towels. I've made several for myself. I snagged a doggie bag piece to make kitchen towels for a friend who is moving out of state. My friend loves linen fabric and this is a way for her to remember me! Having made quite a few towels with F-S linen I learned that it's best to use an all cotton twill for sewing a loop to the towel, versus a polyester fabric. The loop made from polyester tends to fray.
I purchased this fabric last year for kitchen towels for my three daughters. I was so excited to see it back in time for more towels for the girls. I made some towels for myself as well and I love them.
I chose four cohesive colours, 3 yards of each, and made sixteen kitchen towels at a finish length of 25 - 26" each. It was not a difficult project. First, folded each colour lengthwise into four equal parts and pulled a weft thread at each fold to get straight edges. Ironed in narrow folded hems, then pinned and stitched. Then washed per box instruction, low heat gentle cycle and air-dried ( I don't use a dryer at all). The towels did not shrink much and with lots of steam, the beautiful finish of this fabric shone out again. A set four will make lovely gifts for friends, and the muted colour tones will be at home in any style of kitchen, I'm a very happy (amateur) sewer.
I will post a picture of a set of the trio of bees, I made using this wonderful linen. They are part of the decor we are making for our rughooking Hookin this June! The trip band space double band is working out perfectly! Queen, workers and drone! But the secret to the success was of course, the linen. I overdyeing them with onion skill dye, using directions from tutorial. I plan to avocado dye too! Love your linens! Judith
Thankyou so much for sending me such exquisite linen fabric, and in such a timely manner. The linen is just such beautiful quality. It is a little darker than what is pictured, and I really like that. This is "THE" place to buy my linen fabric. Thanks again
