IL030 Gauze Vintage Indigo Softened - 100% Linen Fabric - Very Light (2.8 oz/yd2), Width 57"
The beautiful open weave texture of this linen gives it a light, airy opaque look, making it an excellent choice for apparel, intimate apparel, accessories, interior design projects and so much more. This cloth is 57 inches wide.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Customer Questions and Answers
Somehow I didn't open weave texture to coarse and scratchy. I will fine something that works for this fabric...with 4 yards I have a lot to practice with. I will, however, think twice before purchasing from this site again.
Really awful fabric. I had a very hard time sewing this fabric as it frays easily, and therefore could not clip marks on pattern. Then because of the texture, I couldn't even get a chalk line to show. Very disappointed.
I have bought several other colors in this weight and loved them. They were sheer and after several washings, very soft and comfy. The vintage indigo however, is rough and scratchy after repeated washings. I had hoped to embroider the fabric for scarves, but I wouldn't want this around my neck.
The color is a sort of washed out denim blue and VERY pretty. I am not a very experienced sewer and I found the loose weave a bit tricky. Nevertheless I persisted and have completed a lovely button down top with handmade silver buttons. LOVE IT!!!!
I am not having any of the problems experienced by the other reviewers. I love the texture - both visual and tactile. The best way I can describe the color is "comfortable" . I bought enough for 3 tops. One is completed. I wear it with jeans, with a vintage Madras plaid skirt and with various Fabrics Stores linen skirts, including cobalt. This fabric is a little lighter and grayer than cobalt. I really like the way they look together. I used a grid board to keep the grain straight while cutting out the pattern. I like this weave so much that I've bought some in gray. I'll probably be back for more. Please continue to sell this weave and color.
