Pale, sugary sweet colors like that of LIGHT PINK Linen graced Jacopo da Pontormo's heavenly scenes, basking figures, and scenery in an aura of supernatural light.
A leader in 16th century Italian Mannerism, Pontormo's swirling stories were filled with dynamic drapery, floating figures, and heightened passages of color, taking flight from reality into flamboyantly spiritual realms.

At a lighter weight of 3.5 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is woven with finer threads to give it a smoother appearance. Referred to as lightweight or handkerchief linen, this fine, but surprisingly sturdy linen brings new meaning to the term "sheer elegance".

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

I want to make Japanese style aprons for a man, a woman, and a toddler. They will be lined with cotton fabric. What weight 100% linen would you recommend? Thanks

Our customers will use the IL019 middleweight linen if color and a smoother linen is needed. For a heavier linen with a bit of texture they will use the 4C22

Lovely fabric, just don’t try to fringe.

Purchased light pink in order to fringe ends, stencil, and create a scarf. Pulling 4" of threads to fringe took forever. Threads break easily and left little hairs. I ended up twisting and knotting the fringe so it will hold. Washing shrunk the fabric to 50" width, too short for a scarf. Next time, I'll take a different approach.

Wanted to love but too thin.

I bought three yards with the plan to make myself and my daughter matching dresses. The fabric is so incredibly see-through. I hate to wear a slip with the dress I made because that defeats the purpose of buying linen.

So soft and pretty

I have been sewing with linen for some time and I only purchase it from Fabrics-store.com. This particular linen is so soft and the color is a perfect pink. I am so pleased.

Beautiful dress for college event

This fabric is perfect for the simple lines of this A line dress with a circular ruffle, McCall 7774. I laundered and dried 2 times before cutting. Facing is batiste with light weight fusible woven interfacing for stability. It hangs beautifully. I love working with this linen fabric. It does exactly what you want it to do!

So pretty!

I just discovered sewing with linen, and it has been nice! I started out with with the 5.3 oz. weight, and I made 2 basic tops. It was easy to sew, with a lovely texture and natural beauty. I decided to try the lighter weight linen, and right now I am into pink. I made a simple wrap tunic. Wearing it for the first time today, I already received a compliment at Starbucks! I am planning more projects with natural and melon.

Surprisingly pleasing

The color is the platonic ideal of baby pink. And that's usually not my thing, but there was a very good sale. First thing I used it for was a lining for an IL019 green sheath dress, and it was amazing - not only was it delightful to work with, because the handkerchief linen always is, but also I think it have a hint of brightness to the green. It definitely made the dress opaque without adding much heaviness. Next thing, I made a Roman tunic for a friend. And he reported back that even as a single layer and even though a light color, it was just enough less see through than the white IL020 that he was way more comfortable in it. Rave reviews.

love the color and feel

I absolutely love the color and feel of this linen. I bought it with a specific tunic pattern in mind but haven't cut it yet. I can't wait until I can get into this lush pink linen. As always I am never disappointed in the beautiful linen I order from you.

Gorgeous pink linen!

I absolutely love this beautiful shade of soft pink! I am working on a skirt and top for Easter. I will post a picture when I finish it. I am using 100 percent silk organza to underline it. I am lining it with a silk charmeuse. I will sew it with 50 weight cotton thread. I am taking my time and making a muslin top first to make sure the fitting is good. I washed the linen in warm water and rinsed in warm water. After ironing it I remeasured the width and it did not even shrink! So happy and can't wait to see how this looks when finished! Shipping was speedy and customer service was awesome!!!

Vickie profile image Beautiful pink!

I love this weight and color! Recently bought this on sale not being sure of what I would use it for, I love pink, but as a more mature woman not sure if I could pull off this color as apparel. Wow so glad I took a chance! I made a dress and used a more subdued blush color wide lace to embellish it with and it is beautiful. Think sunshine and spring! Ladies, don't be afraid of pastels, they are not just for little girls!

Pulling threads for a 4" fringe took many hours. Not worth the struggle, but the fabric is lovely. It is transparent. Would need lining as a garment. Stenciled, heat-set ink, us d as a scarf.
