Agnes Martin’s shimmering, Minimalist abstractions are infused with pale, crystalline light, capturing the indistinct atmosphere of half-forgotten memories.
Soft, baby blues like LIGHT BLUE were a recurring feature in her art, suggesting hazy, distant skies opening out across an imaginary (or half-remembered) horizon. She demonstrates how this color is striking and commanding enough to be the centre of attention, but it can also be complemented by other similarly soft hues, like pale pink, washed-out lavender, dusty blue or lemon yellow.

At a lighter weight of 3.5 ounces this 100% linen is woven with finer threads to give it a smoother appearance. Referred to as lightweight or handkerchief linen, this fine, but surprisingly sturdy linen brings new meaning to the term "sheer elegance".

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Blue slip

My favorite color is blue. So when I saw this fabric I knew I had to have it. I will be making a slip for myself to wear under dresses tend to ride up. What is left I will make something for my youngest granddaughter. I love linen! And I love this company!

Not at all sheer if you have a pattern with volume

I think it would be a bit too sheer for me in something fitted and tailored, but the peasant top i made is totally opaque. The drape and hand are good as well.

Doggie bag beauty

The sheer blue linen lets light in through the door, and inspired my idea for a backdoor apron. So far as I know this is my own idea, so I claim intellectual property. Freely grant personal use, for gift or even for craft show use. No mass manufacturers please. Come visit me at Cottoneyedjo on ETSY.

I used my FS LIGHT BLUE Lightweight linen to make this dress. I used the Bluebell Sundress pattern from Flora Child Co. which is one of my favorite sources for patterns.

Made a loungedress. Love this pale blue. I did some decorative stitching on the hems for the first time. The fabric behaved so well. I use polyester thread because cotton draws the seams, heat makes the thread shrink.

This is our light blue linen from fabrics-store.com We sell a ton of it because we sell monogrammed baby and wedding books with journaling inside pages. The linen from this website is the best linen we have found. I would highly recommend it for many types of projects. It`s so easy to work with because it is grade A+ linen.
