Peasant blouse for Georgia Renaissance Festival
Reviewer: Anonymous

My 81 year old mother wanted a peasant blouse, with long sleeves, to wear to her first trip to a Renaissance festival. The free pattern was easily adapted to make wrist length sleeves and the Palest yellow color complemented her green brocade skirt (purchased at a thrift shop) nicely. As the weather warms up, the peasant blouse may get worn to more mundane events, she found it comfortable in warm humid weather.

Pale Yellow
Reviewer: Janet

for years I had been looking for a blouse to go with a yellow print batiste skirt. This is it! I've made what has become my favorite summer blouse. It also looks lovely with my brown, green and natural linen skirts.

Must have more . . .
Reviewer: Robin

This is my first time working with linen and I'm really impressed with your price and quality of fabric. I purchased six yards and like how it laundered and worked up in clothing. I've made two dresses out of this color and still have a yard of fabric left. Looking forward to more garments out of this fabric, in many colors.

Can't wait to get started!

Based on others' reviews, I bought this color for its warmth. It truly is similar to a custard, Devon cream, antique ivory...In a single layer it looks like a beam of sunlight. I'll be making a button front, long-sleeved blouse/tunic to wear open over a tank and by itself when it's super hot. Nothing beats linen when you wilt in the heat & humidity.

Krista Natural
Reviewer: Judy

I purchased this fabric for curtains in a log cabin. It washed well, with no lint problems and ironed nicely. The washed fabric was soft and pleasant to work with, finger-pressed easily, and just felt good in the hands. Fraying is really not an issue if you take normal care. I sewed the curtains entirely by hand using bamboo thread. The only negative for me was that this fabric is not as sheer as "sheer panels" that you buy in a store. It is quite translucent, but you can't really see through it (which is good if you have privacy issues). I was hoping for something sheerer. The color is a wonderful cream, just perfect.

Handkerchief linen

I used this linen to make monogrammed handkerchiefs. The material washed well. It was easy to cut, sew and embroider.

Perfect!
Reviewer: Cynthia

I bought 6 pieces of Krista Natural from the doggie bag to make linen napkins for my soon-to-be-married daughter. I could not have been more pleased. This linen was a pleasure to work with, perfect for my project. I would suggest washing this more than once, because it did tend to make a lot of lint, and I needed to frequently clean my machine. That said, I will buy more of this in a heart beat! And, I will continue to look for deals in the Doggie Bag section. I purchased 6 of .5 yards. Every one of them was at least 1/2 yard, and a few were as big as 30". Glad I found the Fabrics Store!

vanilla custard
Reviewer: Linda

I bought 6 yards of Krista to make night dresses and a blouse. The linen is lovely but the color is much more yellow than it looked on my monitor. It's more a custardy cream color. Still lovely, no doubt but if you want a crisp look go for one of the "whites".

I made a blouse for summer out of the Krista Natural. I always wash my fabrics first. There was very little shrinkage, love the way this fabric handles. I will be ordering more in the future.

Reviewer: Jessica

This is such a beautiful fabric to work with. It is perfect for yhe hoppa I am making. The hoopa is the Jewish wedding canopy or a very large tallit used to cover wedding couple.

Great color
Reviewer: Margaret

The Krista Natural is absolutely the best, not just because it handles so well. This color is perfect for presenting a working class or "peasant" impression. not yellow or "aged", not bright Courtier white, but pale country cream. This is now my official go-to fabric for shirts and shifts of all kinds.

Reenactor Heaven
Reviewer: Melissa

I can't get enough of Fabrics-store.com's beautiful linen. Krista natural was purchased to make a 18th/Colonial shirt for my husband. It was the first 100% linen fabric I have ever worked with. It gathered beautifully and was easily finger pressed or iron pressed into place. I don't think I'll ever find a fabric as enjoyable to work with as linen. It made even the difficult parts of sewing easier!

I bought a number of the Krysta Natural from the Doggie Bag to make napkins for my daughter. This linen was a pleasure to work with, and this will not be my last project using this linen. I would suggest that you wash it more than once before sewing, as I had to clean lint out of my machine numerous times during sewing. I'll be back for more from Fabrics-Store!
