IL020 Handkerchief Dutch Blue Softened - 100% Linen Fabric - Light (3.7 oz/yd2), Width 58"
At a lighter weight of 3.5 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is woven with finer threads to give it a smoother appearance. Referred to as lightweight or handkerchief linen, this fine, but surprisingly sturdy linen brings new meaning to the term "sheer elegance".
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Customer Questions and Answers
I originally purchased this for nightshirts. A funeral service came up and I wanted to do something in memeory of a dear friend who passed at the age of 43. I chose to make hankies using my evolution serger for the perfect rolled hem. I then embroidered her monogrammed initials and her date of birth as well as her date of passing. This fabric was the color of her eyes and was a perfect memory gift for the family.
Beautiful color and a very nice hand. I wanted something lightweight for a duvet cover and this is perfect. Nice also that the weave is spot on in that the warp threads are perfectly perpendicular to the selvage edge so there is no wonkiness to the grain. A lovely fabric to work with.
I bought this linen to make a nightgown as a gift for my mother using vintage trim. It was soft and delightful to sew it. It is thin enough for light to show through it but not exactly sheer -- perfect for sleepwear!
Hello Fabrics-store.com , Im just sending a photo of the completed artwork on some linen I purchased from you ilo20. After washing it I used acrylic paint as a wash in chosen colours, then I completed the picture with free motion machine embroidery. The completed picture is approximately 36inches by 42. It won first prize in a local town art show. The linen is what gives it it's ‘sparkle†as it seems to just add a certain quality that no other fabric has. I love sewing, embroidery and doing any artwork on linen. Thanks for this wonderful and affordable product. Best regards Junee
