The milk-white hue of TADELAKT linen evokes the smooth, polished surfaces of Barbara Hepworth's ground-breaking and sensuous marble sculptures.

At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces, this 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Just Perfect
Reviewer: Heather

I first found F-S.com looking to match some antique linen for a project . Maureen took the time to color match my information and recommend this fabric. It matches so well even I have a hard time distinguishing the new panels from the old. This was begun by my mother and aunt for my grandmother nearly 70 years ago and I was able to complete it for my mother's 84th birthday!

Off White

I made myself a skirt using Fabrics Store's IL042899 stripes then wanted a light colored top to wear with the skirt. I got out my collection of swatches and, while they all looked very nice, TADELAKT was perfect.

This is a beautiful, soft off-white color. The color name translates as "plaster" and it really does have that wonderful plaster color. My computer monitor shows a slightly yellow cast, but the color is much more subtle. The weight and feel of the fabric is also wonderful.

The Mélilot shirt from the French indie pattern company Deer and Doe made in IL019 Tadelakt Softened linen. Their effortless style is definitively a firm favorite of ours and their beautifully crafted patterns are very popular within the sewing community. The Mélilot pattern offers two different views: version A with long sleeves and rounded collar and version B with short cuffed sleeves and mandarin collar.
