Modernist, Fauvist and Expressionist, Russian-born Jawlensky was a bold risk-taker, one whose wild, unbound art inspired a whole generation across Europe and beyond.
Known as much for his mystical landscapes as his expressive portraits,
entrancing, glowing auras in pure, unmixed shades of this blue came to
define his expressive paintings, jangling against iridescent reds,
yellows, purples, and greens.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

This hade of blue met beyond my expectations! Washed,and hung on clothes line to dry. Perfect. Gonna make a large table cloth and kitchen curtains to go with my yellow walls! Very soft.
I am a historical re-enactor. I made a completely hand sewn "hangeroc," an interpretation of Dark Age Norse costume. This fabric is easy to handle and sew.

I love how this fabric handles. I used mine to make a tunic with some black edging. It sewed up really easy and fast. I can't wait to make more!
I was extremely disappointed in this color. After looking at the reviewer pictures I thought I had a good idea of what to expect, but the fabric I received is pale, not the saturated blue in the images. After washing the color faded even more, and left lighter color lines throughout where it had been folded to wash/dry. I am so frustrated with this color.

Linen napkins with machine embroidered sea star. Place mat is made with the 19" wide IL073 848 Mix Natural. Love the weight and feel of this linen!
Super love this color and hand. This is my constant pattern from Simple Modern Sewing, a booklet. Sewing it with this linen was fast, easy and fun. I used IL019 Sulphur as the interfacing and made a few scarves out of the yellow, 3 per width 1.5 yard long. Nice outfit.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
