Andy Warhol loved red. From high heeled shoes to blooming flowers and celebrity portraits, shades of blazing fire lit up his iconic artworks and made them pop. The pink crimson of Firecracker Red linen was one of his favourites, appearing as inky, infused washes, bloodshot stains and patches of flat pattern, a colour that could celebrate decadent power as much as the darker side of life.

At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces, this 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.

I LoVe Linen and yours is unbeatable. Yes, it takes a little more care but it's well worth it. I wash cold water and dry on a cool dryer. Iron as needed and always feel cool and crisp. I get compliments and always give referrals as I know nowhere else to buy linen as well priced and as durable as yours.

Beautiful red
Reviewer: Margie

This fabric made a great dress. The weight is heavy enough not to need a lining on the full skirt, but feels light and soft. I would describe the color as being more on the blue side than orange. Maybe kind of a pinkish red. I can take it out of the dryer and wear it without ironing, for a casual look. Ironing imparts a more crisp, dressy look. I prewashed in warm and dried it twice before cutting. Yes, there is plenty of lint in the first couple of washes. I don't object to this. That's what linen does.

Question
Reviewer: Barbara

Was there a crimson tide when washed, and did the fabric fade?

This is a beautiful shade of red. I've ordered a number of fabrics from this store and have been extremely pleased with the quality and service. I'm not sure how I will use this one yet but look forward to working with it soon. This is my go to source for linen fabrics.

Beautiful to work with, careful of the color
Reviewer: Anonymous

I would love to give 5 stars however there was one issue. This fabric is wonderful to work with, it moves very well and overall is very smooth and soft. Unfortunately be sure you buy enough because the color was different from one order to the next of the same fabric. The second order was lighter than the picture a bit.

I have made a cavalier shirt for my husband out of the Firecracker Red softened line. The fabric hangs beautifully and is great to sew with. He is very happy with his newest shirt. Also, he will look good and keep cool while rapier fighting in August.

Enjoyed using this fabric for my first real garment project, the Hinterland dress by Sew Liberated. I love this dress and wear it a lot. People complement the bright often! Red is always in, isn't it?

I am crazy for a good dress. Especially one with buttons going down along the front. The Loren pattern is going to be a fave in my closet. When I received it the first thing I did was pull out all my vintage buttons to put against the beautiful Firecracker Red linen I got.

I chose this I Firecracker Red, my favorite color, to make my Elope top by SewTinaGivens.com. The softened linen was perfect for the inverted pleated sleeves and attached pocket. The Lagen Look design lends itself to linen and yours is the best.

Simple gift bags I made for my trip to China September of 2018, where I got to meet several online friends. I hired a friend to do the embroidery, a phrase that means a great deal to me as it was texted to me by a Chinese friend here in the U.S. when expressing his wishes for the world. The bags are lined with various red & gold fabrics. The color is more vivid than the picture shows. It was beautiful fabric to work with.

IL019 FIRECRACKER RED Softened I pre-washed the fabric before cutting. To get a straight line, I pulled a single thread in the weft. Hangs beautifully. I'm so glad I found your store.

This is a little pillow I made for my friend's spoiled dog. I am just learning to embroider, but got brave enough to do a little crown on there, My friend loved it.

This cloth made an amazing junk rig sail for my 11'2" shellback dinghy. Strong, bright red, sunlight filters through , stunning, and it sails great. 18 months so far and its showing not stress. I keep it covered when not sailing of course.

This is a wonderful shade of red! The weight is perfect not to heavy and not to light. It drapes beautifully
