IL019 All-purpose Ceramic Softened - 100% Linen Fabric - Medium (5.3 oz/yd2), Width 58"
Dazzling sea blue-greens like that of CERAMIC Linen
sparkle across Armand Guillaumin's canvases, lending them the sparkling
vibrancy of the French countryside.
A leading Impressionist
painter in
nineteenth-century France, Guillaumin is world-renowned for his luminous
colors which capture the glistening light of his native France, from
the rural scenery around Paris to the dappled Creuse River and the
sun-soaked Cote D’Azur along the Mediterranean coast.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Customer Questions and Answers
I am trying to match colors. I purchased IL084 Olivier (narrow). Is it the same teal color as IL)19 Ceramic?
Hello, we don't have exact match for the IL085 Mlt-29 color, but Ceramic and Skylight are both lovely compliments on the IL019 base fabric.
I love this particular weight of linen (IL019). I've made 2 piece outfits out of several colors. Ceramic is my newest choice. The color is spectacular.
It is more green in color but just so beautiful! The color is very rich. The fabrics is medium weight but still so soft and flowy. I purchased 3 yards and sewed all four edges under. Made a gorgeous throw for my mom. Can be used as a throw, towel, beach towel or table cloth.
I just received my order of 10 yards of CERAMIC and was disappointed that it is much more green than is shown in all of the pictures posted by customers and Fabrics-Stores. I thought they might have sent MOSAIC instead, but MOSAIC is a bit lighter. I'll probably return it and buy CERULEAN instead. Nice linen.
I love this fabric & knew I wanted to make a pair of shorts from it in this luscious color. I was not disappointed when it arrived, and have received many compliments on my finished product. I used the Jules pattern again. This fits so nicely & is so easy to sew up.
I used this fabric combined with Sulphur yellow as a dress for my 6 year old grand daughter. It's a made up pattern similar to my own dresses. I love working with this linen. Picture below.
What happens when you filter afternoon, summer Texas sun through IL019 All-purpose Bleached, IL019 All-purpose Ceramic Softened, and IL019 MEDIEVAL BLUE Softened is truly magical. And quite unexpected. I designed this window, which is in my office, before we moved into our house. I wanted to be able to play with the light and filter it through more than one color. When we hung up that outer curtain, I was surprised by the look I had achieved. The curtain looks iridescent, especially in the first image. The middle image shows the curtains open. And the third image shows the two layers separately. (I've not yet created a tieback for this window.)

My piece of 4c22 coral got lost in my stash for 3 yrs and is now out of stock. However, I am posting in another color that I purchased because I wanted to rave about how i loved working with it. I used pinking shears to finish the edges. This is Simplicity 9589 with placket in the pocket, no zipper. The blouse is F/S freebie Chelsea pattern and started out using some leftover fabric to check sizing and construction. I didn't have enough fabric to make the bias binding for the neck but I was able to piece together enough scraps to cut facings for the neckline. I turned out better than I expected and so I finished it. Can't wait to make in in a piece of IL020 coral that was also lost in my stash and is now out of stock.
