The earthy ginger of Apricot linen echoes Pierre Bonnard's spicy Mediterranean oranges - colors that became a central focus in his flickering, light speckled canvases.

At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 59 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

My Favorite Orange Linen!

There are amazing colors of orange and yellows here. Apricot is warm, mellow, and great as a main or contrast color. Check out DB for a 2yd Apricot. A Bargain priced sleeveless tank, with scraps. Save those, to use for gift pouch, paper piecing, make a long piece into facings, piping or even bias if you can... J

A really beautiful color

This apricot color is really beautiful! Looking at the fabric with indoor lighting, the color looks like an earthy orange, definitely what I would call apricot. When you look at the fabric in sunlight, it looks more yellow and has a beautiful luminous quality. The color reminds me of the range of colors a California poppy might have.

Winnie the Pooh and friends made from linen - a variety of colors in either 3.5 or 5.3 weight. I doubled the fabric to give it extra durability. (Pooh shirts are out of corduroy)

Curious Mr. Fox is a great project to try out with younger kids, and a handy way to use up your scraps of left over fabric. You can encourage your child to come up with their very own character and help them make it into a DIY pattern, by simply drawing it out on a piece of paper, adding the seam allowances, and cutting it out together. You can find step by step tutorial for Mr. Fox here: blog.fabrics-store.com/2020/12/27/sewing-with-kids-curious-mr-fox-tutorial/
