At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.

The Premier Finish undergoes a two-step process to give the cloth a luxurious, supple feel right out of the box.

First, we apply a softener to give the fabric a silkier surface. Then, strong blasts of air are blown into the woven cloth. This beats up the fibers to make them softer and mimics the fiber bending process that the fabric undergoes when you've used it a lot.

This finishing process gives the fabric a much softer and more luxurious hand. It will be less prone to deep creases and have less linting. Shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration based on the fabric type ( thread size, count, weave type).

Beautiful Quality and Color

I used Fabric-Store linens for ALL my historical costume commissions. I you don't want it to fade, HAND WASH in tepid water. I fill the tub about 5 or 6 inches, let it soak in a mild detergent, then drain, fill the tub again 5 or 6 inches in cold water and add a cup of white vinegar and a 1.2 cup salt and let it soak again. I don't wring it dry, as it causes wrinkles. Strip it with your hands, lay flat and smooth and Air dry. NEVER, EVER machine wash or heat dry. I have costumes I've worn for reenacting for many years and my colors stay beautiful. - Christine (Designs From Time).

Love this color!!!

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this color when I bought it because the color varies a bit in the posted pictures. I was worried that it wouldn't be as bright as I wanted it to be. but it's perfect. I really love it. I made tea towels for friends and wish I'd kept some for myself. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous color.

The best yet

First off the blue is miraculous, such vibrancy. It's very regal to me. My heart is as a weaver and I use various deep blues often trying to achieve this blue. The 7.1 weight is nice, a bit sturdier but I wear dresses everyday and am hard on my clothes; one minute I'm cooking the next digging in the garden. This weight is my new favorite. The sewn patch is a scrap from the dresses I see for my grand daughters so I super enjoy choosing and sewing that on. The girls (4) all get excited seeing the patch and remembering the dress.

Grace profile image Strong and beautiful

This is my go-to fabric for when I need a heavier linen than the 5.3 oz Royal Blue. My only regret is that the larger threads give it a more rustic appearance than I would prefer.

Used the fabric to make a modern Renaissance outfit for me to wear. I love the color and weight of this fabric.
