4C22 Rustic Optic White FS Premier Finish - 100% Linen Fabric - Heavy (7.1 oz/yd2), Width 57"
Fabric specifications:
At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.
The Premier Finish undergoes a two-step process to give the cloth a luxurious, supple feel right out of the box.
First, we apply a softener to give the fabric a silkier surface. Then, strong blasts of air are blown into the woven cloth. This beats up the fibers to make them softer and mimics the fiber bending process that the fabric undergoes when you've used it a lot.
This finishing process gives the fabric a much softer and more luxurious hand. It will be less prone to deep creases and have less linting. Shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration based on the fabric type ( thread size, count, weave type).

Question & Answers
Hello, I want to buy real white linen to make a dress (3 yrds) and lining (2 yards) exactly like an old Nina K dress I bought years ago in the 1980's. My favorite dress of all time. I saved it to find seamstress to make pattern and make me a new dress. What would you suggest?

I want to make dolls, will this be too thick for a sewing machine? I considered medium weight, but most of the reviews are saying it's see through, so I don't want the filling to show through the fabric.
If you use art 4C--22 Rustic Linen it will be not to thick for sewing machine .
What is the difference between this fabric and the "4C22 Rustic Optic White Softened"?
The difference is in finish process Softened linen has a softener applied to the linen to give it a smooth, silky hand, it has not been laundered so you will need to consider shrinkage (7-10%). Premier Finish is a softening process where we use a special machine that helps break down the hand to give these linens a very smooth look and feel. It feels like butter - silky smooth. Although this linen has gone through agitation with a softener, it has not been laundered. You will need to consider shrinkage here as well (7-10%).

Customer Reviews
I ordered this fabric to make an altar cloth. I wanted it to be 100% linen and pure white. I also needed it to have some weight to it so it would drape nicely. This was exactly what I was looking for. The color and the slight sheen give it a luxurious look and feel. The close weave keeps the medium brown color of the altar from bleeding through. I searched for a long time to find a fabric of high quality for this project. I couldn't be happier and will definitely order from this company again.
