French artist Jules Bastien-Lepage was one of the greatest Naturalists of his generation, painting the French countryside with muted, earthy shades of moss green alongside soft tones of beige, brown, and peach.
OLIVE Linen's warm, rustic shade of dark green was a favorite in his limited color palette, lending his canvases a relatable down-earth-quality that celebrated the quiet wonder of nature and the people who lived amongst it. “Beauty,” he wrote, “is exact truth: neither to the right nor the left, but in the middle.”
At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Looking forward to making something with this beautiful olive color linen.
I love the color Olive and the darker, the better. This is a beautiful color and it's a little more rustic than the other "softened" colors, which I like for my bread bags. The texture is more like the Natural.
These are the Turia Dungarees by Pauline Alice made out of 4C22 Olive. The fabric is perfect and so is the color. Exactly what I was looking for.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
