4C22 Rustic Night Blue Softened - 100% Linen Fabric - Heavy (7.1 oz/yd2), Width 57"
Mark Rothko knew how mesmerizing night-time shades of blue could be, soaking them deep into the weave of his canvases until they formed intoxicating pools of darkness.
The near-black shade of NIGHT BLUE Linen was one of his favorites because it could invoke the raging drama and intensity of night, particularly when blurred at the edges to suggest haunting shadows, specters, or caves leading us into the unknown. He famously observed, “To me, art is an adventure into an unknown world, which can be explored only by those willing to take the risk.”
At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Customer Questions and Answers
See photos to the right - this is the perfect weight for napkins. Easy to pull the thread to get a perfect square, beautiful with fringe!
I got this 7 oz and several other colors to make pants for winter here in TX. Seems ready made is cut for curvy figures, with tight waists. Plus, I cannot wear man made fabric anymore, even the cotton bothers my skin...and the SMELL. So, I am making my own. Will share after making them up, also posting to my album. These colors are GORGEOUS. Looking forward to wearing them.
I love this color so much! It's no surprise - I adore black and navy, and I feel like this color is those two combined. It's very very dark blue; even next to black, it's close to resembling a "washed black", but definitely still blue. Purchased to make a pair of pants for my husband, but I love it so much I've already placed an order the 4C22 Cobalt for him instead ;)
4C22 is the perfect weight for napkins. This is the Night Blue, the darkest navy available when I purchased my fabric. It is gorgeous and is perfect in its deep rich colour. Photos are always hard, but if you are wanting a deep (but real) blue (ie you can be sure this is not black), you might love this one as I do.
