paradise, where icy lakes, bruised skies and mounds of snow are dappled
with streaks of enigmatic blue shadow.
The blue-tinged shade of GREY MIST Linen
was one he would return to over and over to convey these darkening
areas of cast shadow, invoking the ancient, mysterious spirits of
Finnish folklore that are so closely tied with the landscape of his
vast, picturesque homeland.
At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

This picture doesn't show how lovely the color is. I made six 19 x 27 inch tea towels for gifts and a pair of Style Arc Darby Pants (non pictured) out of 3.5 yards of fabric. I'm very happy with weight of this fabric for these projects.
The two Linen colors I've worked with IL019 MIX NATURAL and 4C22 GREY MIST Softened are lovely. Both fabrics are so easy to fold and manipulate that it was a joy to sew. I found the weight of the Linen perfect for making a soft toy, it allowed the filling to stay inside and I fell in love with the rustic look of the 4C22 GREY MIST Softened.
Like all the 4C22 fabric from this store, Grey Mist has beautiful slubby texture that I love. The color is a medium blue, definitely not gray unless it is a gray undertone. It's a soft and earthy color, not an in your face blue.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
