linen is delicate yet iridescent, with the sharp freshness of ice cold
lemonade. American painter Richard Diebenkorn loved the way strands of
this pale lemon could bring sunlight into his works, staining them with
the colour of summer.
At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

When I was a little girl (many years ago), I read a story of another little girl whose older sister made her 3 dresses out of one handkerchief each in red, blue and yellow. This is how I always imagined the yellow color to be, cool, lemonadey, as if bright yellow was diluted with milk. After so many years of looking, I finally found it here. I got 4 yards couple of months ago, still deciding what to do with it. For now, just enjoying the color and the silky feel. Simply gorgeous.
This is a gorgeous cold yellow...pale-ish yellow with a tiny bit of a citron green undertone to make it cool and not warm. I bought several yards to make myself some kitchen towels when there was a deep discount a few days ago. So lovely and will be a joy to sew. I may embellish with some sashiko stitching for gifts.
This color is a beautiful clean yellow that even I can wear. I cannot usually wear yellow being a "cool" skin undertone, but this works well. And of course, the fabric itself is great.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
