A finer quality 5.3 ounce medium weight 58 inch wide 100% linen that is woven with finer threads, and an increased thread count. The higher thread count makes 1C64 shrink less and gives this linen a very smooth and luxurious look and feel, earning it the moniker "luxury linen".

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Best linen ever

I made a pair of pants of this linen. I took them to Europe and I got by nicely without an iron, with some judicious smoothing of the damp fabric. There is a silky, refined look and feel to it. Please make it in more colors!

Higher quality pays off

This fabric is the same weight as IL019 at 5.1 oz per yard. However it has a longer flax fiber which means you get a nicer fabric with few slubs where shorter fibers over lap or are knotted. This results in a smoother and softer fabric. I have made multiple linen shirts from this fabric and currently I'm building up my stash for future projects. White, natural, black and now asphalt to add to my daffodil fabric I bought a long time ago. I've also dyed my own fabric using onion skins with vinegar as a mordant and it came out great. I just haven't mastered larger amounts of fabric per dye bath.

I used pattern NEWLOOK 6604 to make this blouse. It was easy to finger press the tucks with this linen.
