You may have had the pleasure of working with our trickster weave fabrics - the ones that arrive flat and ordinary, but upon first contact with the washer and drier, they shapeshift into something deliciously textured and absolutely unique.
This cloth is 114 inches wide and 7.7 ounces a square yard which qualifies it at the top of the scale of heavyweight fabrics.
Woven with 73% linen to keep us cool and humidity-free and 27% cotton to be fluffier and voluminous.
The fabric arrives flat with subtle patterns that can be seen in the interweaving of the threads. This weaving technique comes with a delightful surprise once it goes through its first wash and dry. It fluffs up everywhere the threads are not interwoven.
To give it the volume the cloth needs to be a textured - the cloth is built to shrink. The styles will pucker differently based on their weave. They will shrink about 8% on the width ( weft going selvage to selvage) of the cloth and about 24% on the length ( warp of the cloth). Shrinkage is based on a warm wash and low-heat dry.

I'm going to make a bedspread with this IS046. We have a split King size Sleep Number bed (it splits so each person can move the head & foot). How many yards do I need and what is your recommendation on finishing the edges?

The DB listing shows this as 2 yard pieces - if you order 2 of these it will come as 2 pieces of 2 yards each. It will not be a continuous 4 yard piece.

I think this would be a wonderful spread/blanket for those who like a heavier weight on their beds - think of the "heavy comfort" blankets which are now hot.

I can send you the specifications I have for the queen and king but the rest, you would need to calculate them based on your measurements, taking shrinkage into consideration. Shrinkage % are listed at the site and in the email I sent to you.

I received this fabric and couldn't wait to put it in the wash to watch the magic. As described, the fabric shrank into a beautiful new fabric. It's perfect for making a duvet for my son which is the reason I got it. I can't wait to get started! It's going to be amazing!
After buying this material and making my son a bedspread for his last birthday, I did a repeat to make one for myself. The color is just as pictured, shrinkage as predicted, but the amount of my delight vastly underestimated. I'm just sorry this wasn't purchased sooner. I bought the 4 yards and the size is perfect. I loved the way it folded so easy and sewed the hems. I washed and dried once and it came out great. Snuggles well. I'd buy it again. I love their fabrics.
I bought 4 yards and hemmed all 4 edges per the instructions. After a quick wash and dry the most beautiful seersucker fabric emerged! It makes the perfect summer blanket. Gorgeous blue color!
this is my first light weight linen purchase and I love it! It is so lightweight and airy yet feels very strong and holds the seems well. If you love the medium and heavy weight linens you will love the light! all a little different but excellent quality! This is a classic light blue color - exactly what I expected.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
