IS010 Waffle Frost Gray Softened - 54% Linen / 46% Cotton Fabric - Medium (6.2 oz/yd2), Width 84"
Fluffy, dimensional, and simply a joy to live with - you’ll feel like a
sewing maestro when you pull this cloth out of its first dry cycle.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Customer Questions and Answers
Is this a gray color or more of a taupe? Not sure if it's my screen!
This is a grey color.
I want to make a bedspread with this fabric as the top and then a smooth fabric for the skirt. Is there a gray color in IL019 that goes well with this?
The pearl grey IL019 is a nice grey which goes well with this fabric: fabrics-store.com/fabrics/linen-fabric-il019-pearl-grey-fs-signature-finish-medium
I would like to make a lined robe out of this fabric that doesn't need ironing to be wearable. I have washed it once and ironed it once, which flattened the waffles quite a lot. Is that the right state for cutting the pattern pieces? What tips are there for working with this fabric to make clothes?
Please refer to our hep center where you will find more information on sewing with the waffle for garments. support.fabrics-store.com/hc/en-us/sections/4421978965645-IS010-Waffle-Weave-Fabric
When does the fabric become soft. It feels very scratchy.
With continued washing and use the fabric will soften. Using a warmer water and dryer balls also helps the softening process.
How many yards do I need for a king size sheet
Hello, This fabric may not be suitable for a sheet. When washed, it will "fluff up" into its 3D waffle form, rather than a smooth fabric like a traditional sheet. This fabric is great for bedspreads and covers, and 8 yards is required for that style project.
I just remodeled my bathroom and needed new towels .. I read the blog on waffle towel set and had to try it! I loved watching the transformation of the fabric to waffle and once I made the towels, I absolutely love them!!! I have ordered more waffle fabric to make a robe and some pajamas. Highly recommend!!!
i used this and the Fabrics Store pattern for bath sheets. i used slightly different dimensions and calculated the expected shrinkage to better match a bath sheet that we already had, and they came out perfectly! also made two hand towels to match. love the waffle texture and they dry so quickly. i imagine these will only get better over time with more washes.
I bought four colors of this fantastic fabric: this Frost Gray, Rose Smoke, Orchid Tint and Mist. The Frost Gray is noticeably scratchier than the other three colors. I washed all of the towels at least 4 times, and that is still the case. I decided to convert the Frost Gray into exfoliating wash cloths. I intend to make exfoliating gloves. They will be awesome!
Makes the best bath towels, easy to sew.
I tried this fabric at your last sale. I bought 3 yds. of Frost Gray for a thermal blanket for my bed in the summer time. I was concerned that the fabric would not fluff since I do not own a dryer. No problem. I performed beautifully. I finished the top and bottom seams and threw it in the washer. It fluffed up and I dried it outside. Also, since my sewing machine was in the shop when your fabric came, I put it on my bed flat. Later I washed it and returned it to my bed. The new fluffed blanket does work well as a thermal blanket. It feels much warmer now. I am now preparing the 3 yds. of Sky that I bought for the guest room.
