IS010 Waffle Cerulean Fs Premier Finish - 54% Linen / 46% Cotton Fabric - Medium (6.2 oz/yd2), Width 84"
Dazzling shades of blue like CERULEAN Linen were a hallmark feature of Pablo Picasso’s late art, coloring it with the fresh light of the Mediterranean Sea. In his later years Picasso settled in the South of France, and, much like his contemporary Henri Matisse, the vivid, intense colors he encountered there ignited his artworks with sparkling, joyful vitality.
But there is another reason, perhaps, why Picasso’s late art is so forcefully bright; he knew, by now that his name would be cemented in history, and this breezy, effervescent confidence fizzes and sparkles through his late art, shaping its colors and forms.
Fluffy, dimensional, and simply a joy to live with - you’ll feel like a
sewing maestro when you pull this cloth out of its first dry cycle.
The Premier Finish undergoes a two-step process to give the cloth a luxurious, supple feel right out of the box.
First, we apply a softener to give the fabric a silkier surface. Then, strong blasts of air are blown into the woven cloth. This beats up the fibers to make them softer and mimics the fiber bending process that the fabric undergoes when you've used it a lot.
This finishing process gives the fabric a much softer and more luxurious hand. It will be less prone to deep creases and have less linting. Shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration based on the fabric type ( thread size, count, weave type).

Absolutely love this fabric! Washed up into a fluffy and luxurious fabric, want to make so many things with this, don't know where to start! Would make the most wonderful blankets, but really want to try it as clothing, maybe a long duster or jacket. I want more!
I ordered 3 yds of this one after getting the Bleached when it came first came out. The 3 yds of Bleached I'd purchased to make a blanket worked very well and was pretty soft, so I figured the premier finish colors would be simply amazing - and I was right! This washed up so soft and so fluffy. The texture is magnificent, and it doesn't stretch the way that Thatch did. The lines of regular weaving creating the waffles make it a pretty stable fabric. The color is a perfect summer sky blue. I've gotten 3 yds to make a hooded bathrobe, and will post pictures if I'm able as this one is showing sold out at the moment.
This fabric is amazing! It washed up super soft and fluffy and I want to make everything in my life out of it! I wish there were more colors available in this weave, like a nice mid-tone gray or a dark purple would be awesome. The picture above is a little more teal than the actual fabric, but it is a true cerulean blue. I got three yards to make towels, and I want to get more to make a robe, it is so wonderful!
