IC023 is a 59" wide Plain Weave Faille in 100% Cotton.
Faille has the flattened ribbed pattern of grosgrain and the uninterrupted crispy sheen of the silky-smooth surface of Satin. This combination gives Faille the distinctive hand and appearance it is known for - textured, lustrous, luxurious, and crisp.
This cloth has become the fabric of choice for top interior and fashion designers. You have seen it used for formal dresses and gowns; it is also a popular pick for making skirts, blouses, and summer dresses for ladies and girls. Faille has made its name in home textiles and is used for bedding, decorative pillows, and drapes as well.
This fabric is at the higher end of the lightweight categories and weighs a lavish 4.4 ounces a square yard with its remarkable texture and unforgettable feel.
This Faille fabric can be woven from various fibers, but nature-made fibers are far more pleasant to wear and much easier to work with. That’s why we made this out of 100% cotton.
FS exclusive hand-painted artwork is printed with the best available machinery, using reactive dye ink that gives long-lasting colors and is not harmful to the body, to transfer these paintings onto 100% Cotton fabric.
We also brought three solid colors: white, beige, and black, to accompany your printed cloth.

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

I keep looking for a Pablo's flowers in a doggie bag, but never see one! Am I too slow or do you not ever have any left over? Are only certain fabrics included in the doggie bags?

Our doggie bags are made up of fabric remnants, so only what is left over at a given time is added there. This said, popular fabrics are always snatched up very fast, so you need to be quick if you do see it there.

What is in a doggie bag?
Hi Rachel! Doggie bag is a nickname we gave to leftover fabric cuts that are not needed for a specific order. Let's say we grabbed a 20-yard roll to fill orders - have orders for 8 yards, 4 yrs, 3, another 4yds, and 6 yds. By the time we're working to fill the last 6-yard order - our roll only has 1-yard left and no order that asks for that one-yard piece. Instead of setting the one yard to the side and waiting for that perfect order to come in ( we would be overrun by fabric cuts), we add a discount and add it to the doggie bag section. You have 1st quality cuts with a deal, and we can walk thru the warehouse without tripping :)
Is this fabric heavy enough for lining of a Japanese knot bag? Beautiful fabrics.

When I saw the new printed cottons on the FS website, I immediately wanted to try it. It was painfully hard to make a choice, by the way, since the array of fabric on offer are stunning but I eventually decided on the Faille Pablo Flowers in orange color. When I received this fabric, I was delighted, the quality is amazing, a beautiful and bright floral print! The structure of the fabric is very interesting as if it has a fine corrugation.
As anyone who has followed my journey knows, I live for natural fibers and am always on the look out for a fun print to incorporate into my wardrobe. As I was looking through the options, I found myself drawn to the Pablo Flowers print. It is whimsical in the best way. The bright poppy orange just speaks summer. When I received the material, I was pleasantly surprised with the texture. It felt like a pique polo shirt without the stretch. The texture is great! When I received the fabric, it immediately went in the washer. I prewash all my fabric. I know it's a personal choice and that's mine. I find that if I don't do it right away it's easy for me to forget and ended ruining whatever I make in the long run. It came out of the dryer beautifully and no noticeable loss of yardage.
I got some of this new faille fabric in a doggie bag. I made a quick Closet core Cielo top. I washed the fabric first and it keeps its structure but is soft and pliable. It sews and irons really well. It is completely opaque. This orange print seemed busy at first, but it will make you happy when you put it on!

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
