IL019 All-purpose Moroccan Blue Softened - 100% Linen Fabric - Medium (5.3 oz/yd2) - 20.00 Yards, Width 58"
Of all the places Henri Matisse visited in his long and prolific career, Morocco was the one that had the most lasting, enduring impact, coloring the art he made for the rest of his life. He made two trips to the ancient city of Tangier from 1912 to 1913, both of which profoundly affected him in ways he could not have foreseen.
While there, Matisse painted a whole series of interior and exterior views in Tangier that were positively drenched in MOROCCAN BLUE’s entrancing shade, conveying the mysterious, sparkling wonder he discovered in this place so far from home.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Customer Questions and Answers
Will this be made in the heavier version? Love the color
Thank you for letting us know what you would like to see us add to our linen fabrics. We hope to bring more colors in next year.
I have the same question as Marina!!! Can you make this in the heavy weight?
Noted and we will see what we can do.
This Moroccan Blue is similar to a color you introduced earlier this year or sometime last year, and never came back. It had the word "Ink" in the name. It was the most beautiful blue I've ever seen. Will you be bringing it back?
It is not on a schedule coming in any time soon but please check back with us towards the end of November to dee if we have had any updates.
When buying things online having the Pantone color or approximation is very helpful. When there is a sale it would be nice to be able to quickly gauge the color-because by the time a sample is ordered the sale is over! Thank you for considering.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know what you would like to see from us and we will see what we can do in regards to your suggestion.
I would like to order a sample -and the tourmaline- but there's no button to order it. Will you be offering samples?
Yes the sample will be in a bit later but please email us at askfabrics-store.com with your address so we can send a sample now so you do not have to wait for the sample chip to arrive.
Is this fabric more blue in person? The stock photo looks dark teal, but the review photos look bright blue. Thanks for any help!
The color is more of a rich Teal shade not a bright blue.
Love this color! So vibrant and the fabric was easy to work with!
