This is a 19" wide twin to the 4C22 Rustic linen line.

Woven out of the same size thread and with the same thread density this IL084 is just woven to be narrow. That means less cutting time for you and you can get to the fun part of using your linen items sooner.

At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces a square yard this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.

Yarn Dyed fabrics are made using threads that are dyed separately before being woven. This allows for a larger variety of patterns and designs that stand out from the base fabric color. Design created exclusively for F|S.

Narrow width cloth is great for:

  • Shopping bags
  • Purses
  • Placemats
  • Runners
  • Decorative pillows
  • Kitchen towels
  • Appliance covers
  • Potholders
  • Cushions

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Does this fabric have a complementary solid? Wanting to create slipcovers for dining chairs but it is not quite wide enough.

Lee • December 20, 2023
Lauren profile image F|S Team

It does have a complimentary solid, 4C22 dulse, but we are currently sold out of this fabric. The next closest would be 4C22 Renaissance Rose. Or, you can always match it with 4C22 natural to match the natural linen color.

Usually really love your fabrics

I have purchased many yards of fabric from you but these I don't care for. The amount of sticks and plant debri is crazy . My finger tips are sore from tring to remove the sticks from the weave. I would ask for a refund but the fabric has been washed. These were going to be made into towels for Christmas gifts but I will make something else.

Placemats

Love the narrow width rustic toweling for towels but what to do with the shorter pieces? I made placemats for our grandchildren. Free motion stitched design and then topstitched onto the base. It's reversible.

Joy to Work with this Linen

I made tea towels for gifts for my linen-loving friends. The stripes and narrow width make it so easy to make a lovely towel in half an hour, even with mitered corners. Do the mitering, you and the fabric deserve it, and it's such a lovely difference. Easy to sew, a joy to handle.

So many uses!

I've used this linen for many projects and it always looks great- rustic and stylish at the same time. Kitchen towels, head and arm protectors for upholstered wing chairs, Roman shades. The possibilities are endless!

Intetesting fabric?

I read the reviews b4 buying this fabric. I believe i bought 2 yards enough to make a towel. Washed it, it frayed beautifully so I just added 2straight stiches clos to the frayed edge walla finished. Can't wait to wadh again, because it says it gets softer.

Made cover for my Vitamix blender. Love it. Washed, dried, ironed and sewn. Fabric looks and feel great! Next will be mixer and then sewing machine.

I'm Addicted!! Having so much fun sewing, and embroidering, on this terrific narrow woven linen! It is a complete delight to work with, makes wonderful napkins, tea towels, and table runners. I love how it just keeps getting softer and softer - and call me weird, but I love to iron it!! My beekeepers (hubby & daughter) are going to love these new napkins! Thank you fabrics-store.com for your fabulous fabrics and your stellar customer service!!

Made these kitchen towels for my sister's birthday gift. I purchased IL084 Narrow Width Remy Natural/dulse. The color of the stripes is such a great rich red. I was expecting a lot of lint from washing, but I had very little. Loved sewing these and will be making more for myself and for gifts. - Marianne
