Natural is the earth made, not dyed, color of the flax plant once it is made into thread. No dyes, no bleach. The only thing that impacts the color of the cloth from one production to the next ( if it is more beige or grey) is the amount of sunshine and rain that particular flax harvest had.

At 5.1 ounces this Open Weave 57 inch wide linen has a unique slightly sheer look and feel that sets it apart from other medium weight linens. Open weave does not make it less durable or versatile, just loosely woven.

This linen should be laundered in a cold wash-tumble dried on air setting or very low heat--line dry if possible.

The Premier Finish undergoes a two-step process to give the cloth a luxurious, supple feel right out of the box.

First, we apply a softener to give the fabric a silkier surface. Then, strong blasts of air are blown into the woven cloth. This beats up the fibers to make them softer and mimics the fiber bending process that the fabric undergoes when you've used it a lot.

This finishing process gives the fabric a much softer and more luxurious hand. It will be less prone to deep creases and have less linting. Shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration based on the fabric type ( thread size, count, weave type).

excellent fabric for a variety of unusual uses

I bought a yard of this hoping it will be the right fabric to make historically accurate buckram. I haven't gotten the gum tragacanth resin yet (hopefully I can buy that tomorrow at an Indian grocery), and the project will have to wait for much warmer weather, but the texture is even better than I had hoped for. It also looks perfect for various counted thread/canvas uses I have in mind.

Very loose weave

I was hoping to make a dress out of this fabric, but the weave is very loose, so ended up being to shear to wear alone. I love the fabric but just not for clothing. I may try to make curtains out of it.

Debbie profile image Gorgeous neutral.

I haven't sewn with it yet but I love it! I didn't know if it would be more brown ish or what but I had to have it. It is definitely Lighter and looks like what shows up here. Very soft right out of the package. Had a bit more slubs than my order of the fog color but I love it! Can't wait to make a dress or skirt from this!

It is a picture of my customer who just both made designed, and made by me a simple shirt! I sold all I have made:) I dry the shirt wrinkled, and it gives a fantastic feel.

Made this cafe curtain with a small remnant from the doggie bag section! Didn't even need to cut to size, it ended up being the exact size I needed. This fabric is perfect for light filtering curtains!
