Lee Krasner was an inimitable pioneer of Abstract Expressionism, storming her way into the 1950s New York art scene with bold, bombastic paintings. Fleshy, soft shades of beige like that of MUSHROOM Linen are nestled into some of her most famous works of art, and their warm, earthy shades bring in a living, human presence.
Krasner often coupled these calm, muted tones with flashes of intense color like fuchsia pink or racing green; when seen in amongst her creamy blends of beige and off-white, they become flashes of anticipation and excitement.

At a lighter weight of 3.5 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is woven with finer threads to give it a smoother appearance. Referred to as lightweight or handkerchief linen, this fine, but surprisingly sturdy linen brings new meaning to the term "sheer elegance".

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Is this weight good for a fitted sheet or would medium be better?

For extra durability we recommend the mediumweight linen or heavier on a fitted sheet. You can always use this fabric for the flat sheet as it doesn't experience as much abrasion at the fitted.

My husband and I have a business trip coming up to Egypt that takes place in August, which is brutally hot. We plan to make light weight, flowy linen pants, shirts, and skirts. Would this weight be good for some of the clothing? I'll probably go with a heavier weight for pants, but would this be too see through for shirts? It was also recommended that I have a head scarf for some of the places where head coverings are expected for women, so I thought this would work for that as well.

For pants we recommend to use IL019 medium weight for top and shirts you can also use IL019 or check IL020 handkerchief linen , 3.5oz for scarf you can check our gauze linen IL030 . We are offering sample swatches , you can order and check the fabric weight before making your final decisions .

I made my Ren Faire underdress from this and it has been great in our Kentucky heat and humidity. It washes up wonderfully and with a little starch and ironing looks good all 13 hours of my day. I love working with this weight fabric.

This linen is a lovely natural mixed with gray-brown

As a member of the SCA, I enjoy using this weight of linen for summer under dresses. This fabric has the sheer heat-dispersing qualities of its weight, while having a good solid neutral shade that goes with everything. I have received many compliments on the shade and the way it moves.

I used my FS MUSHROOM Lightweight linen to make this dress I used the Bluebell Sundress pattern from Flora Child Co. which is one of my favorite sources for patterns.

Just finished cafe curtains from handkerchief weight in mushroom for my dining room. Sews up beautifully. Good for privacy while still letting light in. Mushroom is a nice neutral- a bit cooler tan than a traditional camel color. Backlit it goes more brown, more neutral grey/beige in full light. Now want more for clothing!
