FROTH linen is a pale blush tone reminiscent of a ripening apricot in the white spring sunlight, recalling the luminous flesh tones in French master Edouard Manet's paintings.

As a Realist painter, Manet made the human figure his central focus, whose pale blush tones become visions of light when set against deep, earthy browns and velvety blacks. On constructing his own distinctive, high contrast paintings Manet wrote, “… look for the main light and the main shadow; the rest will come naturally.”

At a lighter weight of 3.5 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is woven with finer threads to give it a smoother appearance. Referred to as lightweight or handkerchief linen, this fine, but surprisingly sturdy linen brings new meaning to the term "sheer elegance".

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

I was wondering if you'll be bring back the parchment linen. Also do you think the froth 020 would work for curtains and what type of lining would you use Thank you Norma Hoffman

Yes, We are restocking the parchment linen, and hope to have this back in stock by late December. The IL020 froth would work nicely for curtains. The lining you use will entirely depend on the level of protection you would like from light, UV and temperature. There are a wide variety of backings available.

Lovely Color

I have not yet used this fabric, but I will say the color is a lovely and soft. While it is listed as an apricot, and I am in the middle of harvesting a tree load of them, I would say it is more to the peach side of the fruit having a very slight brown tone. My problem now is analysis paralysis in trying to decide the best use of my piece!

Elegant dreamy color

This color is so beautiful! The fabric is so soft and so smooth. I love it so much. It's a bit transparent though, (than the il019) so you may need something to wear under it. Also it bleeds quite a bit so make sure pre wash it.

Perfect!

This is the most gorgeous buttery soft yellow! It was exactly what I had pictured for my project and I'm so happy with the finished garment (Tina Givens April Cardigan). I have just enough let over to make a pretty pintucked camisole. I am really happy I found this company. The prices, selection, fast shipping and customer service can't be beat. Pondering my next color......

I used my FS LIGHT BLUE, FROTH, MUSHROOM Lightweight linen to make three dresses, one for each of my girls. I used the Bluebell Sundress pattern from Flora Child Co. which is one of my favorite sources for patterns. They love to match, so I wanted to make the same dress for each of them, but in a different color to make them feel special. This dress is also perfect for twirling! Always always a hit with these girls.
