Blue darkness descends across Paula Rego's disquieting artworks, lending them a theatrical air as strange, unsettling narratives unfold. PRESTIGE linen's deep blue mimics Rego's midnight tone, a color steeped in density, weight and the cloaked mystery of the night.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Wonderful colour

Linen for Tina Givens patterns
I bought several colors of linen for my Tina Givens patterns. They are all in the medium weight, and I love all the colors I got. I would like for Fabrics-Store to say if the color is for a warm or cool skin tone, especially the greens and browns. I washed them all in the machine, machine dried (but not bone dry) and they are all fine, ready to press and cut out my patterns. I also appreciate that they come wrapped in plastic, for the chance that it is raining when the delivery leaves on the front porch.

Everything about this is fabulous. From the weight of the fabric to the color of a winter stormy sky.
I used this fabric to make Sew House Seven Free Range slacks, a casual style for which this fabric worked beautifully. Great neutral blue tending toward denim color.

I started with two yards of IL019 Multi Purpose Prestige Softened and added a bunch of Doggie Bag pieces in different colors...after washing the whole lot and feeling just how soft this fabric is, I decided to make my 1st Linen Baby Quilt...then i washed it again...OMG, so soft...My Niece is super hip and this is her color platelet. She loved it and I loved it so much, I am planning on making two more...one in this color line and one in all creamy neutrals...Just waiting for my order to be delivered!

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
