KRISTA NATURAL linen has the creamy freshness of homemade custard or Cornish cream. British painter Ben Nicholson brought this colour's glowing light into his carefully structured, minimal canvases and relief sculptures, investing them with an intimate warmth that seems somehow instantly familiar.

At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Fabric color is much different

The fabric I recently received IL019 Krista Natural softened is not the color I was expecting. I expected a soft butter shade. That is how the screen appears. What I received was not much different than IL019 bleached is.

Misleading color

Very disappointed with the color of this item. It is not what i wanted, it is way more yellow in person.

Wonderful Quality - Beautiful color

This is some of my absolute favorite fabric I've ever bought. The color is a little bit more buttery than the picture online. It's a very feminine and happy color, softened by the creamy, almost cake batter yellow hue to the ivory. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work for the duvet I was making for my husband (I'm going to get a more pure white to go with the oatmeal color) but it's still so beautiful that I know I'll be able to make it into something special.

Re-enactor shirts

I am teaching a class to make 18th century work shirts for members of a flintlock gun group. The fabric is wonderful - all the sewing is hand worked - this fabric turns a very narrow rolled hem. The thread count is perfect for counting to make even stitches. When finished - some of the shirts will be dyed with natural dyes.

Making face masks for friends. I researched and tried different styles and combined the best ideas to come up with this one. It has four layers of linen with a small pocket sewn at the top for a 4" length of flexible florist wire to make the top secure around the bridge of the wearer's nose. I turned both ends of the wire a couple of times around needle-nose pliers to make the ends smooth and keep ithe wire from poking through. The sides feature sleeves to make the elastic easily replaceable for over the ears or around the head. These are comfortable to wear, and linen is naturally antimicrobial. I would be happy to share more details and measurements, if anyone is interested.

You can see the quality of the fabric a bit better here - closeup. A little sheer for something like straight linen pants (sans a liner) but wonderful feel! Truly softens with every wash.

So you can see the color compared to a more "yellow" yellow (and its complement, purple.) PS, Any site admins - can you PLEASE do something about the UI/UX. This upload process is PAINFUL. Please add a drag & drop, and allow us to upload multiple pictures at one time.
