At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
Our FS Signature Finish was developed exclusively for us using a special process that makes this linen super soft with a comfy, classic look you'll love at first sight.
As a bonus, this process removes almost all of the initial shrinkage, giving you more fabric to get your projects done.
This finish makes the linen as soft as butter. Yep, 100% linen that feels and drapes and sews as no linen you have ever encountered. Because the fabric has been pre-shrunk for you - it will be less than the base cloth width.

Wonderful linen! Autumn Gold is not. All the photos show a bright sunflower gold color. In reality it's a mustard color, dark, not bright, not nice. Very disappointed.
I made this up in the Charlie blouse and absolutely love it. The Signature Finish, the gorgeous rich color. Just perfect!
Beautiful in all Weights

The Wave Set, as I informally call it pattern number ME 2033, is a loud and fun outfit choice together, or great as individual pieces. It's a pullover tank or cap sleeve crop top with a square neckline and barrel leg pants with side seam pockets and elastic at the back waistband. I have been inspired by mashing colors together and different shapes and ways to color block garments, especially with linens. The cover image is done up in Autumn Gold and Sahara Rose. It looks fantastic in all sorts of color combinations like the ones below from Fabrics Store linens!

Needless to say - I am totally in love with linen! I purchased a lot of IL019 and 4C22 linen from FS, and I'm very happy with all of them. Autumn Gold is beautiful deep yellow color, truly reminds me maple trees turning golden in fall. I used this fabric for the lining for the large beach bag and small tote bag set. I chose 4C22 Mix Natural for the exterior since I really love the combination of these two colors. Both fabrics are just a pleasure to work with! I tackled the Amalfi pattern with no particular plan other than to use a lot of colors. I used 1 yard increments of several colored linens, All-purpose Mix Natural, Autumn Gold, Agave, Wisteria, Sanguine, Lilas – all IL019, and that determined how far down my color piecing work began as I cut the main body pattern pieces from the off-white linen and then worked with the other colors to fill in the gaps.
This linen was perfect for my Seamwork Dorian shorts. It is so soft and cool for summer. I love this colour, Autumn Gold. I still have a bit left and am scheming on what to make with it, matching top maybe?

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
